“Great place...a little problem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2009

We enjoyed our stay at Three Peaks. It is conveniently located walking distance to the gondola. More than likely we will book there again. The only problem was the shower was cold! It was on for more than 5 minutes and never warmed up. I ended up taking a cold shower and was quite miserable. So, if you plan to book a room at Three Peaks and they give you room 101, make sure they fixed that problem.

If anyone is looking for a great pet friendly hotel, the 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club is the place to stay! We brought out 14 year old lab with us and felt completely at ease with leaving him back at the resort while we hit the slopes. The staff did an excellent job of making us feel at home with our dog. Can't wait to go back!

This trip to Tahoe was the best one yet! Not only did I get waist deep powder but I was able to leave, "Buddy" (my dog) in the hotel without worrying about a thing. The 3 Peaks is the nicest pet friendly hotel I have yet to come accross.
Great rooms, great people, great time!

We wanted a one-bedroom suite near the Heavenly ski gondola and walking distance to restaurants and casinos. The 3 Peaks is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Our room was decorated in a mountain-cabin theme, had a full kitchen and was plenty roomy enough for 4 adults.

It's not an upscale resort, it's a more rustic hotel. The hot tub was nice for after-skiing (the pool is seasonal). Noise does travel from room to room but the other guests abided by the 10 pm quiet rules. The only complaint: our grown boys complained that the pull-out couch was less than comfy, but they were tired from skiing and managed 3 nights on it.

The 3 Peaks has all the convenience of being close to everything at a much lower price than the fancy resorts in the area.

  • Liked — Bedroom separate from living area; Proximity to ski gondola
  • Disliked — Hide-a-bed uncomfortable

This is our third time staying at the 3 Peaks Resort in Tahoe. We usually come on snowboarding trips but decided to try it out in the summer. We enjoyed ourselves so much. This hotel has an excellent location situated a few hundred yards from the beach at beautiful Lake Tahoe.
The rooms are nicely done, the beds are very comfy, and best of all...it is a pet-friendly hotel. The staff was very helpful with things to do in and around Tahoe in the summertime.
We will be back soon!

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times and will definitely return. It's super convenient for skiing (walkable) and they're pet friendly. Plenty of places to walk the dog, clean and quiet rooms. The hot tub outside is nice after a long day skiing, too.

Best of all is that management is top notch. We woke up the morning we were leaving to 2 feet of snow. We pulled up to the front of the hotel so we'd have a roof covering us, and Deborah, the general manager, spent 20 minutes helping us get chains on our car. She truly went above and beyond, even getting on the cold ground to help us, and didn't mind one bit. Made our day quite a bit better!

We stayed at this place mainly because the price was right and we had planned on not spending much time indoors - we were planning on hiking and skiing if there had been snow.

This place is not on the beach at Tahoe, nor is it a resort, so don't let the name fool you. It is also on a street with other motel types of places and there is also a totally run down motel right next to it. It is your typical motel type of arrangement with more of a modern twist.

We had a poolside suite. The room was very modern looking inside, with a jacuzzi bathtub, 42 inch LCD television with Bose stereo, a patio that led straight out to the pool area and jacuzzi that was outdoors, a fridge, free WIFI, and a modern bath. The bed was a king size and was super comfortable.

The location is across the street from the Marriot Grande Vacation Resort and the casinos. Theres a grocery store, an outdoor skating rink and a movie theater across the main drag on Park.

They also take pets but we didnt have ours with us.
