“Loved our stay here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

My wife and I loved our stay at this beautiful resort-style hotel with new, nicely appointed suites, including a kitchenette. We ate at the Fire and Ice Mongolian BBQ restaurant on the premises, which was fun and tasty. The location is excellent, and the staff were very friendly as well. As mentioned in other reviews, the $25 overnight parking charge is mildly annoying, but as this was the second-to-last stop on our cross-country trip, we were happy not to have to worry about it.

We recently stayed at the Marriott's Timber Lodge in a two bedroom unit. This is a nice place, a really good location near the casino'sand shopping, and within most of the attractions. The units were nicely furnished with full kitchens, and cooking utinsils, ect. The bedrooms were nicly furnished, and beds comfortable. The queen sofa in the living room area makes into an additional bed.

I have only two minor complaints. The air conditioning for the bedrooms is controlled by the master bedroom which means the comfort of the second bedroom is at the mercy of whoever is in the master bedroom.

My second complaint is that check out is 10:00 a.m. much sooner than most all of the hotels and motels in Lake Tahoe

Was here 2 nights while on vacation on the way to Yomesite. The location was great for the south end of lake Tahoe. The room was small for a Marriott I thought and had no bed service. They also charged a $25/day parking. Newer hotel but the location is the main attraction. Could walk around this shopping area but I came for the hikes and recommend Eagle Lake in the crystal bay area.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Timber Lodge - it's a gorgeous property, walking distance from everything. The Staff could not be friendlier or more helpful in a truly genuine way - what a pleasure to visit with each and every one of them! I left and item in my room and I had a great experience with the loss prevention team who were right on it. Very comfortable rooms - just an all around great experience.

A couple of quick things to note: 1) I found it weird that there was no daily maid service,.. maybe you can pay extra for this, I'm not sure 2) there is no breakfast restaurant. The only restaurant is "FIre and Ice" which is fairly Niche.... almost like "The wWest meets Japanese Steak house"

Outside fo those little items - you won't find a better stay! I recommend!

Room Tip: they have construction going on -when I wast there it was in the ALPINE building which is where my...

Stayed the weekend in a 1 Bedroom Villa on the 4th Floor overlooking the pool. The room was spacious and comfortable. The room was also recently remodeled. Everything was close by the hotel such as the grocery store, restaurants and casinos. Can't wait to go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for the Alpine Building overlooking the pool on an upper floor, you will not be disappointed!

Booked a week through Interval International. Checked into my room and the second day, while I was out, the manager decided they needed the room and locked us out. He said they had accidentally given us the wrong room. After saying they had no rooms left available and an hour and a half of arguing, he gave us a small room the size of a mop closet. He completely ruined our stay. He was unbelievable rude and unprofessional and he lost a customer forever. The behavior of the Marriot staff was shameful and unprofessional.

Room Tip: Choose a good room by staying somewhere else! Don't stay here!
