“Great Family Getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

The remodeled rooms are nice and very conducive to rest and relaxation with some fun thrown in. Bikes and pool with jacuzzi were just right for our style. Staff are helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Be sure and get a remodeled room

This is a timeshare property that opens up availability to other guests when rooms are available. They are renovating the rooms a few at a time during the off-season so some are a bit older with a very interesting platform in the middle. The renovated rooms are awesome and the ones that have yet to experience a remodel have a unique character that I didn't mind at all. I was a bit confused by our kitchenette light. The light kept going on and off and we couldn't figure out why. It turned out that there was a motion sensor tucked behind the fridge.

The facilities are older but well taken care of. There are a lot of things for kids to do including a playground, basketball hoop, tetherball, horseshoes, movies to borrow, bikes for rent, a heated pool with a seemingly endless supply of "noodles", and scheduled activites throughout the week.

The staff is great and they keep the popcorn coming all day. The breakfast is very minimal with not much more than doughnuts and oatmeal. There is no A/C which isn't a big deal most of the time. Put a fan in the window and it brings plenty of cool night air in. I love the huge trees and flowers everywhere. I will look for this hotel first when returning to Lake Tahoe

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room if possible.

Our family of four stayed for three nights and loved this hotel. Room was comfortable, reliable Wi-Fi, and the staff went out of their way to help us make reservations for activities in the area like boat rides. Nice pool, and fun activities for kids as well. Excellent location near the gondola amid the pines. Only suggestion would be to broaden the breakfast beyond donuts, fruit and hard boiled eggs. Perhaps adding cereal, muffins, etc. When we travel next to the area, this is the place we want to stay.

Older timeshare that have been nicely updated on the inside. We had the deluxe Studio and could not ask for more. Very clean, comfortable bedding, newer furnishings. We appreciated the free special touchs like, bikes, coffee, donuts, popcorn, beach pass. Note: We are with RCI and did have to pay a $49 charge at check out, which covered these "freebees", but we would have paid more than that if we had rented bikes, etc. We are from the South, so we were very worried about not having an air conditioner. We didn't need to worry-it gets cold at night. The staff is friendly and we saw hundreds of flowers being planted. The twice a week cleaning schedule was perfect for us.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a deluxe studio vs. a studio.

We had a minor mixup with the dates of our reservations, but it was quickly and professionally handled by Mayra. We had a lovely stay and the staff is terrific! Our room was a Deluxe Studio and it was comfortably furnished and very clean. The room was super quiet, too! Always nice to not hear other guests next to or below/above you. Very conveniently located, too. We'd definitely go back!

Friendly staff, clean room, fresh popcorn and coffee. Our kids had fun watching movies from their extensive collection. It was also very close to the beach and casinos. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here when our neighbor asked us to use a week of her Timeshare time and we chose the Americana Village in June 2013. It was a wonderful place to stay and the location was fantastic - just a walk away from most of the South Lake Tahoe sites. Our room was clean, well maintained with all the amenities that we needed for our week stay. They had a continental breakfast each morning and various activities every day including the opportunity to sign up for various tours at fair prices. They also had a reasonably priced BBQ one night and didn't mind that we only purchased one meal so my husband could share. There was always free popcorn and movies to borrow and the staff was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back this September.
