“Perfect in Every Way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

As I drove in to the driveway, I remembered that I stayed in this lovely community several years ago when the stay was gifted to my husband and me. I was thrilled to be back. The property is surrounded by lovely pines and the greenest grass. There are patio swings and barbeque pits for personal use, too. The clubhouse is fully stocked with recreational items for loan such as beach chairs, golf clubs, bicycles and the like. The room was the perfect size for two or three people, with a kitchenette outfitted with the necessities to cook small meals. There was no a/c which I believe is not a problem in this high elevation community, but was there during a valley heat wave, and an a/c would have been perfect. The room did include a screen over the doorway and a box fan, which served our needs for the most part. The staff was AMAZING and kind.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Americana. We had one of the newly refurbished rooms with two flat screen TVs, a very comfortable king bed, nice kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishwasher. Bathroom was new with a double showerheads, one lower for those who don't want to get their hair wet ,,,, nice thought. The small living-room was comfortable and great for watching TV or one of the many movies available for free at the front desk. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Workout room was nice ....however .....only 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical ....not enough equipment for the many guests that are there. We thought that a continental breakfast was being offered but that is not really what they have. Don't consider donuts, hard boiled eggs and sliced oranges a continental breakfast. No rolls, yogurts, cereals, etc. which are the normal items included in a continental breakfast being offered. There is free coffee and popcorn in the lobby, but no coffee packets in the room. There is a coffee machine, but you need to buy your coffee beans. Also, two of the three nights we were unable to park on the premises. The front desk informed us that many guests are using more then the one spot they are allotted .... however .... that did not make us feel any better by parking along side of the highway rather then in a more secure area.

Very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay here at the Americana. You were here at our very busiest time of the year! I hope you will come see us again, if you ask for coffee beans at the front desk, we will me more than happy to provide them. We always have a fresh brewed pot on though out the day as well. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, we hope to see you on your next trip to Tahoe.

... so let me quickly mention it and move on to the good stuff: the hot tub is just big enough for 4 or five small children; large family? Forget it; one such group consistently hogged the tub so we got to use it only once.
The appearance of the grounds is pleasant and welcoming, with plenty of parking space. Our room was tastefully refurbished and impeccably clean. It was cleaned again midweek and all linens were changed; you can request fresh towels anytime.
There is a palpable laid back attitude about the place. Don't misunderstand: the staff are on top of everything and make your stay very uncomplicated. Just ask and you'll receive. They are also genuinely enthusiastic about what they do, particularly in the many activities organized for the guests. They are the friendlies bunch
There is a flat fee for all the amenities and for it you get, among other things, continental breakfast every morning, never-ending popcorn and coffee, unlimited use of a great DVD collection and very reliable and fast WiFi in your room. In other places we paid the same just to have the room cleaned and the sheets changed.
Overall a great stay!

I booked this accommodation not realizing it was a time share place. The room was well furnished and spacious with a small kitchen including fridge, d/washer, m/wave, hotplate, all silverware, pots, etc. Bicycles are available for use free, as are golf clubs and fishing rods. Laundry facilities are free. They have a nice pool and jacuzzi and planned activities. We really enjoyed our 3 nights there.

Room Tip: 442 is close to street and you get traffic noise. Its right above the pool and lobby and gym which i...

This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe in 32 years it was really nice. The staff at Americana was super nice and willing to do anything to make our stay special. There was some maintenance to be done while we were there, the water main had to be replaced and the parking lot resealed. We understand this to keep the place in tip top condition these things must be done. The staff were well prepared to help everyone get through this, we were notified early of what was going on and helped us prepare for any inconvenience. My Wife and I would like to thank the staff and all the folks that were there to help. Thank You for a wonderful time and very pleasant stay. The activities were a lot of fun!The Room was clean, comfortable and quite, We will be back!!

Room Tip: if the weather is real hot get a room on the lower level

When we checked in we were given one of the remodeled rooms at no extra charge so that was awesome. Once we got in we loved to room decor and the set up and size it was excellent for the price. We went to use the box fan the first night but it did not work right. We reported it the next morning and the clerk reported it right then to maintenance. We found out the second night they did not service or replace it. There is not much bad to report we really liked it and would stay there again. The cons: they do not provide coffee in the rooms but there is a coffee maker. There are no grips on the newly carpeted stairs, since it was new carpet it was still a bit slippery...I fell down the stairs. Luckily there were only 2 steps however my wrist and ribs were sore the next day. Pros: it is close to everything! The size of room was a great price!

Thank you for your nice review. We do appreciate your candor and will work to improve in the areas that you mention. I am sorry your box fan was not just replaced, that is what should have happened. We do hope you will come see us again the next time you visit Lake Tahoe.

We had a very pleasant stay in our newly remodeled jr suite. The property is older, but the units are all being remodeled to upscale standards, and the grounds are well maintained. They make good use of all available space inside the units and outside. There were daily activities and gatherings, and the location is great - less than a mile from Stateline. Americana Village stands out among other Lake Tahoe properties of this type and vintage. This is not a high end luxury hotel, but it is at the top of its class.

Room Tip: Ask for a remodeled unit, although all will be remodeled soon.

How wonderful that you got to experience one of our newly renovated units, we can hardly wait until we have them all completely finished. They are something to be proud of. Well, we are proud of the whole property actually, even the older units still show the pride our staff has in taking care of their property. As you mentioned, the whole property is something special here in town. Thank you for taking the time to share with others
