“Great Stay at Tahoe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

We went for a quick trip to Lake Tahoe, and used our points for a free night at a Best Western. It was at a slow time for business, so it was not full of people. We stayed in Room 224, in a room not facing the parking lot, and it was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There were two sinks, and that was convenient. The mini fridge was turned off, so we don't know if it was noisy. They were doing some remodeling to the front desk, but it was very well marked, and they were very polite and helpful. The worst thing was that the lights didn't turn on outside on our building until it was way too dark. The best thing was that we got a complimentary free full breakfast from restaurant on the property. It looked like it would be a nice place to stay in the summer. You could walk to the casinos if you wanted to, and 30 years ago we probably would have. We will probably go back there when we visit the Lake again.

Room Tip: For a quiet room, stay in the building closest to Pine St., on the North side.

Clean- cozy and convenient to Everything. We walked to the Lake- up to Harrah's and Heavenly Village-
The room was perfect- comfy bed- great shower and very clean and quiet! We always try to stay at BW's- never disappointed. We ate breakfast at LewMarNel's which was included in the hotel stay- awesome food awesome service!
We drove about 10 miles to Emerald Bay and hiked down to the lake- A must see and do!

I stayed at this place over the weekend of Nov 16 2013. Overall experience was good beside couple of thing. Room and location is execellent.one thing that i didnt like is smoking area. Rooms are NO SMOKING but employee of work there and the guest of the motel didnt follow the rules well they smoke where ever they want. I believe they should have the make the smoking area. second thing that i didnt like is the internet service. Since they offer the internet service for free i shouldnt complaine much but there internet service is really bad. only time it works when you are close the theeir front desk office.

Arrived at this hotel late after a longhaul flight so was extra happy to find helpful staff who took us, our bags and skis to our room.

Room: Large, clean, temperature controlled, fridge (great for storing items to take a picnic up the mountain)

Bed: Comfortable, HUGE, clean, lovely bedding

Staff: Friendly, helpful, good local knowledge

Food: Breakfast was delicious, loved all the servers, so kind and went out of the way to make your breaky exactly how you want it.

Location: Walking distance to Heavenly Village with shops, restaurant and gondola. Easy drive to Carson City, Nevada and other ski resorts around the area such as Northstar.

Overall: Would recommend this to anyone! One of the best hotels in the area for skiing.

Close to the Casinos & the beach. Nice & quiet place. Manager very nice & helpful. Room quiet & comfortable. Bed a little too soft for our liking. Free full breakfast at the restaurant is a great idea. We came during the off-season. Looking forward to next year, when the steak house will be open.

this was a little off the strip, but we got a free breakfast in the morning, anything off the menu! There was no microwave but we really didn't need it. All the little antique stores had great deals and found some stuff thrift shopping, I collected oil lamps so that was our mission for the weekend. We also had a wedding to go to and the reception was at Passaretti's on Lake Tahoe Blvd. There meat lasagna was awesome and I tasted my husbands tri tip with garlic mushrooms and Wow is all I can say. so all in all it was a very good trip.
