“Worst stay ever!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

The shower leaked, the bathroom floor was dirty, there were holes in in the bathroom ceiling and a large one in the "closet". The woman at the front desk was super rude. You can hear traffic through the night, worst night's sleep I've ever had

My experience here was not good.
1) water shut off unexpectedly and when taking a shower the water temperature will change.
2) hidden fees... 12.00 for resort amenities? There were none, the coffee was terrible and do not expect a continental breakfast.
3) the bed... I thought looking at the previous reviews that at least the bed will be ok, then I discovered that the bed is lumpy like some fat person left an indentation and body print onto the mattress.
4) dog friendly???? There is no place for a dog to do its business.
5) vending machine broken and the staff are not friendly.
I will never stay again

This hotel has potential. There has been some upgrades (beds, shower) but we could tell that there still needs to be more (sink, tv, bathroom window had no screens and no fan). The location is great and close to things like Harrah's, Heavenly, Starbucks, grocery store, lake, and a yummy fish taco truck across the street at the gas station. I was disappointed that one of the hand towels had make up stains and the duvet cover had dirt stains. Both seemed cleaned-just the stains didn't come out. The price was decent compared to most hotels on Lake Tahoe Blvd close to stateline.

We've stayed here several times and they were OK. LOVE the location of the hotel because it's right across from Starbucks, Heavenly tram, and grocery stores. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean but carpet was a little bit dated. We've always ordered microwave when we stayed there. I wish that they didn't charge resort fee because the pool and the hot tub have always been closed at least for the last 3 years that we've gone there.

Finding dog-friendly, affordable lodging in Lake Tahoe is very difficult. My husband and I were thrilled to be able to book a room at the Park Tahoe Inn. The website made the inn look warm, clean and inviting. The website wasn't quite accurate. The location was ideal as it was within walking distance to the stateline casinos. We arrived a bit early but early check-in was forbidden. Our room was a big disappointment. The carpet was old, dark and dingy. The mini refrigerator had seen better days. The air conditioner was old and noisy as could be. The organic amenities included one bar of soap (which had to be shared between the bathroom sink and the shower), one mini tube of shampoo (no conditioner), and hand lotion with the seal already broken. Yuck! The bathroom was small and cramped. The wall above the door was cracked and in need of repair. The hair dryer was strategically placed above the toilet. Huh??? The cable T.V. was snowy for most channels. Our stay was topped off by no hot water with the first shower and warm water with the second shower. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

We booked this hotel several months ago and were excited to spend time in Tahoe at a pet friendly hotel with a pool. Imagine our surprise then that when we checked in and asked where the pool was located we were told the pool no longer existed - it had been filled in and covered with bricks. The hotel photos online are VERY misleading. The rooms are dated and dirty. The bathrooms are tiny with mold on the walls, peeling paint, and the worst lighting I've ever seen. Not only that but the placement of the shower head is a complete joke unless you're under 5 feet. Probably the worst thing about this place is the resort fee. They charge $12 per night for access to a beach (that doesn't allow dogs), a fire pit, and organic shampoo and soap. I've never heard of such a thing. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.

Definitely does not deserve four stars. I agree with Mayanking -- it was not the worst place we have stayed, but certainly not worth what they charged. I, too read the reviews and thought I was getting a real deal. However, the bathroom was extremely small, with an even smaller shower (I am 5'2"). We had trouble using the sink fixture -- it was old and difficult to turn on and off. Overall, the room was dated and sorely in need of updating. The bed, which was a Tempurpedic, was great, and the location is good. The website indicated that there would be access to a beach, but upon arrival we were told that they did not have access this year. The staff was not very friendly and the hotel had no amenities. Finally, we were advised that we would be charged a daily resort fee. I guess that's how they make up for the deal you think you're getting through Expedia. I did not consider this property to be a resort. We will not return.
