“Parking is a scam!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

Checked into the hotel and man at the front desk tells us we should valet park for 25.00. He also tells us there is outside free parking behind the hotel but didn't recommend it because he claimed someone got their car towed! So we valet parked, truck got dripped on all night from condensation pipes and was filthy could have save the 25.00 and probably ended up with a cleaner truck!

My family of four stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days. We love the location, and the room has enough space for the 4 of us. They have a sitting/dining area where you can eat your to go meal. We stayed on the 9th floor and we were close enough to the vending machine, laundry area ( 2 washing machines and 2 dyers, coin operated.) The hotel is walking distance to Heavenly village and shops. They offer free breakfast, and the food is just alright. The staff are ok and friendly. And they have an indoor heated pool but it was a bit crowded when we came. Overall, we had a nice stay and we will come back to our future visit in South Lake Tahoe.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel the week leading up to Christmas 2014. We stayed in a balcony suite; the Mt. Rose. The room was impeccable. The Bvlgari bathroom goodies were very luxurious. The morning breakfast was a great start to the day and evening reception was the perfect way to end a day of Christmas shopping. We could not fault any part of our stay and look forward to a return visit soon.

Room Tip: Balcony suites have a phenomenal view of beautiful Lake Tahoe.

Just spent the last 10 days at this hotel. Having read previous reports about the street noise we asked for a room on the far side of the hotel. We were placed in a suite on the 6th floor with no immediate neighbours and it was very peaceful. Having a small fridge and a microwave was a really great touch, being ''Brits' we do like fresh milk in our morning coffee!
Happy Hour each night was a real welcome, a glass of wine and a bowl of popcorn after reviving in the hot tub after a day's skiing was perfect.
We always had a good selection of breakfast items to choose from, despite getting up late on a couple of days.
My only gripe is the price of parking at $25. per night this would have been a huge bill after 10 days. I was disappointed that after talking to the manager we weren't offered a discounted rate, however as previous reviewers have stated the casino next door offers free parking which we used.

I was looking for something close to Stateline, but not in it as I have a little daughter and didn't want to expose her to the smoke. Lake Tahoe Resort definitely fit the bill. The hotel is in good shape and has some nice amenities, including a fairly nice indoor setup with a little bar and dining area in the center, a middle garden/pond area, as well as an indoor pool. The rooms are in good shape and are pretty clean, although some of the furnishings are a bit worn and dated. Parking is valet only for the property, and I believe the have an internal garage to house cars. My family and I enjoyed they morning breakfast the offered, and it was nice to have a little happy hour available to us after a long day out.

I'd say the staff was very friendly, especially the valets. They were always cheery and helpful, even when I had forgotten to get some things and they offered to grab it for me from the car.

The location is convenient as it's located close to the Heavenly Gondola, and Heavenly village, as well as right across from Harrah's.

We stayed here for the 1st time since it changed over from the Embassy Suites and you can't tell a difference. It was very comfy and the service was GREAT! Good breakfast and manager's reception (Bartender was super friendly). Rooms are spacious and clean, would and will stay here again in the future!

Nice location in Heavenly Village. We were able to check in early which was a bonus. The valet was busy but very friendly.

Wish they had an upgraded room avail when I booked. The room was spacious and quiet and we did sleep well but I didn't care for the dim lighting and dated decor. I am sure they are working on updating all the rooms.

I did not like their toiletires. The smell was not subtle at all especially when the soap, shampoo, lotions all have the same scent. The happy hour was mediocre. We got their on the later side and it was pretty messy. It took 20 min for a slice of pizza as I was told they are made somewhere else. We also ordered salads which were just wilted pieces of lettuce that had been sitting in their plastic containers way too long. Not impressed for $400 night and would not call this a resort.

Hello and thank you for your comments. We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed our location. We are sorry to hear that you were informed that our pizza is made off property. The Pizza can take up to 20 minutes to cook and that is because we make the pizza here on property from scratch. We have passed your comments along to the Executive Chef for him to review with his team and make sure that this does not happen again. Thank you again for your comments and we hope that you will stay with us again in the future.
