“Nice room and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

The room, bed, and linens were very nice. Great location too. Would have given 5 stars except that the parking left much to be desired. Supposed to drive up a curb (scraping the bottom of my front and back bumpers) to park on dirt.

Maybe I just got a really nice room, but this place is a steal. Super comfy beds, very clean & spacious room rooms, quiet.....no real problems. Charter cable stinks and "blinks" in & out fairly often, but that's out of their hands. For the price, you can't beat this place. Very, very underrated-especially considering that it's a lot cheaper than some pretty divey places in Tahoe.

I'm basically in shock over how nice this is for the price.

Really great location. The area is so nice you wont be staying in the hotel very long. Basic facilities but they advertise a pool that they dont actually have! That was disappointing but other than that - I had no complaints considering the price was so reasonable and the location was so great!

Yes, the rooms are dated. The carpet could use a good cleaning. Though I did not see any cobwebs, I don't doubt others had some.

I have to say, the bathroom was extremely clean. Spotless. The rest of the room was ok. I could manage to stay here one night, but would be hard pressed to stay 2 or 3. Soap was broken. Kind of a bummer. Its really hard to wash your hands with crumbled soap. Two of us and 2 kids fit nicely in the king room. Surprisingly, the bed was very comfortable and fluffy pillows. We slept great. Fridge in the room a plus, though we had to plug it in when we got there. Up and running cold in no time. The front office staff was very nice and they accommodated us arriving after midnight with no reservation. Many of the hotels/motels offices close early in Tahoe, so for them to still be open and check us in was a plus. Liked the location - quiet street just around the corner from Harveys and just a couple of blocks from the a great private beach that the hotel gives you free vouchers for ($20 otherwise). Pool looked out of commission. I wouldn't say it was poor, but it is below average.

My husband booked this for us and needless to say this is the last time I let him find us a room. The only thing good about this place is the location and my husband said the bathroom was clean and the shower was good. Other than that it was awful. The carpet was stained and dirty. The was a stain on the bedspread which was faded but still there. Furniture was very warn. No pictures on the wall made it seem very cold. The bed was so saggy my husband and I kept rolling to the center. This has the potential to be a wonderful place but it has been sadly neglected. The lady who checked us in was very nice and friendly.

This place was a great value for its costs. My room had a refrigerator, microwave, telephone, cable TV, coffee maker, and comfortable bed. Great location, next to the golf course. Quiet property with clean rooms. The staff was friendly and there were a number of good restaurants to eat at close by.
