“Tofo Scuba 10 out of 10”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2012

We have just returned to the U.K. having spent 10 days in Tofo Beach. We had pre-booked a 10 dive package with Tofo Scuba several months before arrival, on the reccommendation of a guy that I met last year on a Red Sea live aboard. He wasn't wrong.
The booking process was straight forward and Nikki from Tofo Scuba was very helpful during this time, answering any queries that we had. As this was a new destination for us all, quite honestly we didn't know what to expect.
We were a party of 3, two of us being very experienced divers, and the other guy has just passed his open water course at the age of 70 !
I wish to say that the instructors Nick, Matt & Dennis and the trainee Dive Masters Grace, Axel and Orlando and the rest of the team in the background were very professional and friendly. With the emphasis being on safety, coupled with their obvious knowledge of all dive sites and expert guideance, we had some fantastic diving.
We had arrived in Tofo just after the passing of a cyclone through the Madagascar Channel, which left the sea quite rough at times, however this did not spoil the experience, as the life underwater was something to behold. We saw the giant Mantas and whale sharks (whale shark from the surface only) that we came to see, but will say that any diver will not be dissapointed at the abundance of other species to be seen on these reefs.
Tofo scuba also offer excellent snacks and meals and facilities to relax between dives (or for just lazing around) on site, which our wives also took full advantage of during our visit, also try the Preta beer on offer ( a dark beer almost like english stout -very refreshing) !
We are already planning a return visit, and will look no further than Tofo Scuba.

Thanks once again John, Nikki and the Tofo Scuba team.

“Tofo Scuba... Great!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2012

Just want to say a great thanks to Tofo Scuba in Tofo.... a really professional outfit that caters for all grades of divers. It is set on the beach at a creamy location and seems to be the only beachfront dive shop in the area enabling you to combine fantastic diving with sun tan topping , eating great food, drinking beer and meeting a great range of people.

I did a total of 20 dives and was well looked after, the team do not give you BS about their sites and are prepared to got that extra mile to ensure that you get what you came for.... in my case the bigger stuff, whalesharks (on snorkel) manta on my second to last dive, leopard shark, whitetip, GT, Barracuda, Giant Moray and a huge range of other stuff. The diving here is what I call Apex Diving (not really for beginners..) Nitrox qualified a definite advantage, having good sea-legs because it can get rough. The Ribs are well maintained, gear is good scubapro, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the reefs, it is said that Tofo Scuba has reefs that the dive that others do not know about. When in Tofo this is the only choice..... great diving, great site, great staff..... what can I say except GREAT!

Was the best place to enjoy a breakfast. Was battling to find a place in Tofo that had stock and could make us a decent breakfast, great view of the beach and also very cold beers.
