I invited my parents for Mother's Day last year and although I had read only a couple of reviews about this restaurant, they were so enthusiastic that I felt compelled to check it out myself. From the 1st course to the last one, everything was beautifully arranged on large plates or slates. A mix of molecular cooking and old-fashion recipes; the finale was an explosion of chocolate-covered mouse and berries in the center. When we asked for a simple coffee, they brought us espressos along with miniature "financiers" and other delicacies. Love the place!
PS - Corme Royal is a very small village on the way to Rochefort; when you are on the highway, at one point you would have to make a right and continue for a a couple of minutes; there you will see the restaurant on the right across from the medieval church and village center.
