This delightful establishment has been around for upwards of 35 years. Recently renovated it offers beautiful Italian food at reasonable prices.
The decor is clever, intimate yet full of Italian ambiance with the addition of a gorgeous outside area which is perfect in the summer.
Little banquette niches and an upstairs overflow which is as delightful as down.
A set menu full with more choices than are really needed with 2 or 3 course options from £21.00 for lunch. Dinner is set at 3 courses for £24.00 AND a Sunday lunch menu.
Bread is fresh and tasty and placed on the table, with butter, as you arrive. Olives are also included.
Al la Carte is excellent, but not necessary. Portions are large but there are half portions on offer. Food is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Wine list is reasonable with good selections. Service is excellent. If you only want a starter and nothing further it is served with a smile. Coffee is excellent and brought with a small plate of delicious petite fours.
The restaurant is available for private parties either as a whole, or just the upstairs or a part of the downstairs. Nothing is too much. Needless to say there is rarely a table to be had on a walk in. BOOK, it's worth it. This is what a fine local restaurant is and we are lucky that it is close to where we live.
