“Long wait for lame food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

We liked the vibe of the restaurant. But then we ordered food... Waited to long and when it finally came my fish soup had 4 mussels and 1 prawn, no fish!! The waiter took it back n I had a new soup with fish in it. One of us had a burger that could have been nice if it wouldn't have been very well done.

“En route to Cape Point”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

This restaurant has a great vibe and even better service. We enjoyed the food and drinks. My husband had a cigar prior to our lunch arriving. That was a nice touch. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and there is a lot to see. When we flew in to Cape Town this restaurant was recommended by a local. It was worth the visit because we passed it on the way to Cape Point.

“Overpriced, underflavoured food ...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014 via mobile

So disappointed with the food. Probably a great place for just drinks as cocktails are fairly priced, but food pricey. R155 for a fillet steak of not even 200 gram with some fried crisps. No salad or veggies offered. R135 for a paella with 2 mussels, 2 unflavoured, overcooked prawns on stoggy rice with no real flavour. The fried bread with mayonnaise straight from a jar disguising as lime mayo ... really. Definitely not a place that I would take visitors from overseas to again for food - drinks maybe, but with so many great places to have drinks in Cape Town - probably not. Interesting enough nobody asked whether we actually enjoyed the food not even after I left almost half of it. In my opinion, the food is quite easy to fix as the menu is pretty simple with some interest and maybe for management to actually taste the food.

“favourite place in Kalk Bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

I love this place, not just for the food but the whole set up, such an eclectic mix of furniture & decor, if it's just drinks then the bar is great, with tables & chairs on a mock up sand beach, Mojotos BOGOF when we were there!! restaurant seperate so doesn't interfere with drinkers. a place not to miss!
