“Great visit.”

Four of us stayed at The Fleet for two nights, had excellent meals, (breakfast, lunch and dinner on one day) and found the staff and owners exceptionally helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were tastefully decorated and comfortable and had lots of nice toiletries and courtesy tray. The breakfasts were very substantial, freshly cooked and we were asked what we would like. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was amazing this morning.
Thank you JP, Ali and team for a lovely couple of days, we will be back.

Room Tip: Saw two of the three rooms both very good.

On the positive side the room was ok, on the whole clean and it was a nice location. However, we left not happy due to the negatives, in particular no hot water so cold showers; lots of flies in the room encouraged by drainage smell from the bathroom; loud music until after 11pm played directly outside the room despite the fact there was nobody in the beer garden to listen to it; handyman woke us up singing at 7am directly outside our window; and small, basic breakfast. All a real shame because it has the potential to be lovely but unfortunately it was clear that those running the place could not be bothered to make it so. I wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews before booking this.

Apart from the water not being hot and the electrical sockets kept tripping out this was a great room in a perfect location.
The staff were friendly if not busy and the room was fantastic.
Very clean, well laid out and great view over the river.
They didn't have wifi on the rooms was a little surprising.
A good base to explore the surrounding area.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Fleet having been the first guests to stay in the renovated property a number of years ago.

The rooms have not changed since then and are still clean and in good condition. Beds are comfortable. Only problems we had were that wiFi coverage does not extend to bedrooms, (a range extender might do the job) and TV coverage is poor. No BBC and other channels were continually breaking up.

There are new owners since our last visit and we found them to be very pleasant and accommodating.

Breakfast was good with a full English available and service was much faster than experienced on our previous visits. We did not eat any other meals during this visit but on scanning the menu, the selection looked good and possibly less expensive than in the past.
We would stay again.

Whilst at a visit to the Hilton Pukarup hotel, we were told of a really nice place to go to eat and have a drink at the bottom of the lane, after a brief walk we arrived at the Fleet, only to be greeted by Tibi the manager, who was a charming host, anything we required was no trouble, even arranging a taxi for us to take us back to the hotel.
As we had such a great evening the day earlier we decided to repeat on the Saturday, this time our waitress George(Blonde) was very nice and was very friendly.

The food at the fleet is really well presented and of high quality for a Pub, and really enjoyable,
the only thing that's slightly over priced are the desserts, but still very nice.

Will be visiting the fleet again, hopefully very soon.

Have visited the Fleet a few times over recent years, just for a drink, but recently had one night's accommodation. Beautiful room, very well presented and the most wonderful view of the river. The meal in the evening was excellent and a very good choice of breakfast next morning. The Fleet is a delight - we would recommend it as a lovely spot for a break this time of the year, very relaxing and welcoming.

We were invited to a 70th birthday party at the Fleet at Twyning and decided to stay overnight for two nights.

We could not have been made more welcome or had better service anywhere. The Deputy Manager, Ali Williams, went out of her way to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. The cooked breakfast on both days was outstanding.

When we attended the 70th birthday party for 50 people, the service was impeccable and the food outstanding. Long may The Fleet prosper under the new owners Wadworth Brewery.

The view from the Boathouse accommodation was outstanding over the river with boats cruising past. On the whole an excellent stay. We will return. Mary and Neville Sharpe
