We've been Hilton Diamonds for a number of years and have stayed in our share of HIs. This one ranks up with the Farmington NM property (reviewed elsewhere) on our "Best Hampton Inn" list.
On check-in our "status" got us "upgraded" to a King suite, and we chuckled inwardly because HI upgrades don't usually mean much (once in Birmingham AL it was to a handicapped-accessible room).
Much to our surprise, our suite (we'd describe it as a "junior suite" since the bedroom wasn't in a separate room) was modern, spacious, and almost luxurious. The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast room is the more modern HI design, with a separate little room for the food, a large dining area, and coffee around the corner across from the check-in desk. What particularly impressed us was the employee diligently attending to cleaning tables and replenishing the buffet as needed.
The same employee front-desk manager) was on duty when we checked in and checked out. He looks genuinely happy and seemed very pleased when we told him how much we enjoyed our stay.
When we asked, he told us the property is only three years old. It's sparkling.
It's odd how even a single overnight stay can sometimes reveal whether a property has good or bad management. It's evident to us that this hotel is very well managed and we have no hesitation in recommending it.
