“Great beachfront location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We stayed in room 1A which was 1 bedroom with a small kitchenette. Lounge carpet and bedroom suit were new. Bathroom was newly tiled but very small. Towels were large and fluffy. Our room was less than 20 meters to beach and had 2 external doors, one opening to swimming pool area and the other to the beach. Whilst this resort is older and our room needed painting it has everything you need for a very comfortable seaside holiday. It caters well for children.

Room Tip: Choose a room in block A closest to beach.

We stayed here over New Years eve with a group of 5 people. We got a cheap rate of $1000 for 4 nights and were surprised at the location and value for the amount we payed.
Right on the beach however we didnt have ocean views. Pool should be bigger for the size of the resort.
Check in experience was horrible and service wasn't very welcoming.
Accommodation is very dated but that comes with the price. Two story apartments have everything you need, kitchen (no oven) two living areas and two bathrooms. Good BBQ area. About a 15 minute drive to Forster which is beautiful. Unfortunately you have to drive to Forster for mos activities, restaurants, shopping etc. Only an overpriced fish and chip shop and IGA locally.

Whilst the ladies in reception were very friendly and helpful, there were unfortunately too many other issues. The pictures on the website don't reflect the 1 bedroom unit we stayed in. Carpet was old and stale and sticky, paint was dated, walls are paper thing (could hear the neighbours taking a shower), dust on the walls of the bedroom, blinds are old and dirty, common bbq area is located right behind C Block which isn't great if you're staying there and people are having a party until late at night. All units face the pool, so having your blinds / windows open allows for anyone to watch you. There is no one around on site to provide assistance and if you do have to call someone out they advise they charge $50 for the call out fee. The games room is old and run down, the small golf course isn't very user friendly. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit and it is REALLY in need of some TLC; has been let go and the cleaning standard isn't very high. Wifi is available however it's an extra cost. Basic TV available only, however there was a foxtel box in the games room but I couldn't get it working.

Whilst the location is ideal in terms of being right on the beach with your own private access, the negatives listed above outweigh the 1 positive we could find.

There are some great reviews on here, however we would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend to anyone. It's worth paying the extra money and staying next door at the Ramada, we were so disappointed we checked out early and came home.

Room Tip: If you are considering this hotel, perhaps opt to have a 2 bedroom unit (only based on the photos on...

We had a great week here in the middle of the school holidays. Even though there were lots of people around, there was plenty of space & things to do. Room for the kids, great pool, beach a right there with plenty of shells for the kids to collect, clean, good facilities and not far from some other good beaches, restaurants etc.

Courtyard of 4 blocks of residences c. 40 ish all looking onto the pool.
We had B4 which was spotless and had more than adequate kitchen facilities. Accommodation was fine for two but the pull out beds in the lounge look like they need a major upgrade and decor was a tad dated.
Laundry equipment at the end of our block might also need a bit of TLC.
Outside of that resort offered communal BBQ/ tennis/ games room and was only 100 mtrs from the deserted Diamond Beach for early morning walks. Lastly being woken by a dawn chorus and crashing waves could not be beaten .... Happy days :)

Lovely 5 day break at Seashells at Diamond Beach. Lovely beachfront position with a lovely pool as an alternative. Very clean rooms with everything supplied. Excellent kitchen with utensils plus if you don't want to cook at night there is a courtesy free bus that will pick you up and take you to Blackhead Bowling club for a good meal. A couple of klms. down the road is a shopping centre with a good supermarket for supplies as well as a good Thai restaurant for takeaways. Other things to do at the resort includes a well set up B.B.Que pavilion with gas bbques, sinks plus table and chairs. Two tennis courts plus a childrens play ground.

Room Tip: We had room B2 opposite the pool which had a nice outlook from the front and black cockatoos, ducks...

The venue is great for a relaxing time away, spas are great. Full size tennis court. The beds are really comfortable it has everything. Half tennis court . Sauna. Dolphins swimming can be seen from the beach. We were lucky enough to see a whale and calf about 200 yds of the beach.
