The hotel may be very suitable for younger people who seek surfing and relaxing in a homely atmosphere. For elderlies who are used to more comfort may be not so convinient. However the staff is friendly and assist you in any way.
On the other hand travelling with a car to reach the place is as 200 years ago travelling through the country by horse carriage. The road from Pangandaran to Batu Karas with a distance of 30km is like you driving with a tractor on an uneven paddock and for this distance you need 2 hours. So, more convinient access is by helicopter or hoovercraft or sea access by boat from Pngandaran to Batu Karas
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- For a taste of local culture try Villa Monyet's famous barbeque night. The way we eat is unique; nasi liwet or rice cooked in a traditional wok with special spices, is served up with the freshest, most succulent local barbequed fish, crabs and prawns on huge banana leaves at one long, single table. Everyone eats together, without spoons or forks, only hands, often fighting over the best part of the fish, or the last bit of sambal, just as monkeys do. That's why our place is called Villa Monyet. ... more less
