We stayed at Beltane for two nights and wished we could have had another long afternoon sitting in their garden soaking in the Indian Summer weather. Beltane is a literally three minute drive to Wells and I'm glad we stayed here instead of in town.
We stayed in The Annex and found it to be very cozy. We enjoyed the living room area and small kitchen as we stored our food in the fridge after a shopping trip to a nearby Tescos (good inexpensive wine).
The bed was very comfortable and I loved the down comforter and soft pillows. The modern decor of The Annex is zen and relaxing.
We enjoyed a late afternoon in the garden visiting with the rabbit, chickens, kitty and their dog, Milo. Elaine brought candles out to us so we were able to enjoy a beautiful evening outdoors.
Elaine suggested we walk the public footpath to Wells and it was well worth it. We had a view of The Tor and enjoyed more of the countryside and sheep. I suggest trying to visit Wells on a Wednesday as Elaine suggested to you can visit on market day.
Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge is a short drive from Beltane so it makes for a great base to visit several areas. Elaine has many suggestions and brochures to browse through.
Thank you for a great stay!
