Nice scenery and an excellent drive up to the main centre. We went at the end of October and there were unfortunately few flowers, not their fault. ฿100.- for my Thai wife, I went for free! as I was driver, but the car cost ฿120.-!
Most of the plants that we saw were adequately labelled and maintained but that is where the positive side of my report stops. I worked in a botanical garden for a few years.
In general little information was available about the different plants, the herb greenhouse had a small collection of herbs without any indication as to what they might be used for. The orchid house had a meagre collection of plants, to my inexperienced eye there were a lot of hybrids such as you can buy in any street market. If you like orchids, go to the Kham Thieng plant market in Chiang Mai.
Cactus house: only a few species represented.
In short, doubtful concept behind the choice of plants, little information available. No guides around.
