“Elephant Camp visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

I was worried that this would be a completely touristy experience but enjoyed it a lot. The adventure is really well run and organized. We watched the show (make your own judgements but when the elephant began painting a mama and baby we were pretty amazed), then had lunch, a buffet with not bad food considering all that they have to churn out.

We took the ox cart ride through a rice paddy and to another part of the park (about 20-30 minute ride) and there we got on an elephant for the 30 plus minute ride back. It poured rain while we rode the elephant and I thought it was a bit terrifying going downhill on narrow muddy trails. There were umbrellas on each seat and I seemed to be the only one unwilling to let go of the handles on the seat long enough to open the umbrella. Walking through the river on the elephant was wonderful. I could do that for hours. The mahouts seemed to truly love their animals and were really gentle with them.

Part three was a ride on a bamboo raft down the river.

We booked our trip through our hotel concierge and were "handled" by Pino who was professional and very helpful and took great care of us.

“Well trained elephants, but not extra-ordinary. Average show”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Well trained elephants, able to dance, paint, run and do some activities. Elephant ride was pleasant. Elephants painting sold outside are questionable and pricey

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

We arrived a little bit late as we drive ourselves and all the elephant ride were fully booked. The show is fantastic, elephant painting, playing dart, football, basket, ect... You can also feed baby elephant and their mum, take picture very close to elephant. We bought one paint of elephant price vary a lot but thus one was done the same day, place to visit. Park close at 2:30pm

“Elephant Ride and show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

The elephant ride was an enjoyable experience and the mahout was able to give us key information even with the little english that he spoke. All in all an enjoyable experience. (Try to get lower row seats when sitting for the show and avoid the tent to get a better view of the football show). The elephants seemed to be well kept and cared for.

“very cheesey”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

A waste of money getting a private tour. Food ok but a bit bland. Disappointed after seeing the elephants painting, very guided by handlers and over priced once you see how they are done. The elephant ride is hard on your back and very bouncy. Just followed a paved track. DONT buy the photo they take it will be taken of you when you get to australia (the framing is made from elephant dung)
Bamboo rafting was quiet and slow just as you can do down the Yarra through the yarra valley.
