“Awesome location! Very comfortable accommodation and great host.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Cape Bridgewater is a fantastic location for families, couples, in fact, anyone!! The beach is just stunning. We stayed in the self contained house and it was soooo lovely. I to ally recommend it to anyone. My only advice is to stay longer!! There is so much to do and see. We all wished we stayed longer.

Room Tip: Go in a group and book the house. It will be your home away from home!

We stayed there for just one night when on the way to Apollo Bay. The accommodation was as expected and did not disappoint - sleep quality was excellent. Loved the balcony facing the ocean. The place had a home feeling and Denis (the host) tried his best to make us all feeling comfortable. If some had any second thoughts, the breakfast that he served must have chased them away.God, that was some breakfast! Served downstairs in common area where you could see him really going the distance. Thank you Denis! It was very short but enjoyable stay. See you soon!:)

Cape Bridgewater is a great place to get away from the main hussle and pretentions of the great ocean road area. A stunning little spot with only one kiosk/take away place.

I agree with the other comments about sea view lodge - it is a very hospitable and cosy b&b to relax and enjoy the spectacular beach and coastal scenery.

This is one for the black book. Promises good value comfortable and clean accomodation with a hearty breakfast. This is exactly what you get with a beauty and quirkiness that reminds you of something out of an Enid Blyton childrens book setting but for adultsthrown in. The star of which is mine host, Dennis who never ceases to be the humerous, hospitable and caring main role.
100 metres down the beach is the one and only Bridgewater Cafe, where Dennis shuttles you off for drinks and dinner. Open all day from breakfast to dinner this provides good value sumptuous no frills tucker for all ages. The setting is superb and the young hard working couple, Scott and Deb do everything to make you happy.

Room Tip: All rooms have their own different personality. All rooms have a seaview but maybe the front ones ar...

I booked an internet rate on the hotel website for A$120, and got a king sized bed with a spa bathroom (did not use the spa). The room was immaculate and quiet, except for the sounds of the waves breaking in the distance. Outside the room was an expansive balcony that would have been perfect for enjoying a nice evening with a bottle of wine, but it was a little chilly on the day I was there. There is a pretty full shared kitchen available for the use of guests. A word of warning about Cape Bridgewater--the cafe is only open for dinner one night a week, however they will give you a boxed meal that you can heat up in the Lodge's microwave--and if you mention that you are staying at the lodge, they will give you about a 50% discount (they did for me).

We´ve been there to relax at Cape Bridgewater and walk around, and that was what we found. The B&B is located directly at the Beach with a wonderful view, its old charm was a good alternation to a lot of other sleeping-locations. The breakfast was wonderful and the owner really wants to share his time with you - what we enjoyed, because we wanted to meet some "real" Aussies:-)
