We enjoyed a fabulous first night in Moyglare Lodge on our 10 day adventure travelling the south east coast of Ireland. This was the start of our 1 year wedding anniversary holiday. We were delighted with the room and in particular the four poster bed. The building and the grounds are simply stunning. The breakfast was delicious and the service first class. A trip to the Coopers Arms pub is a must, a typically Irish welcome awaits. We look forward to our next trip and would certainly return to Moyglare Lodge.

This is the worst accommodation I have stayed in whilst in Ireland and anywhere else. The bed was terrible, and I was not able to sleep at all. The dust in the room and/or bedding resulted in asthma. In the bathroom there was a half empty tube of shampoo next to the sink with a hair of the previous occupant stuck to it. The bathroom door did not close without a push against the door from outside. The tv in the room was tiny and the picture was not good.

The bed felt like it had been picked up at a junk shop. To offer accommodation and not think to spend at least a little money on a reasonable bed is unacceptable hence this review.

You will be charged a surcharge if you do not pay in cash.

My day following a stay here was hard going due to lack of sleep. Thanks for nothing!

It was unfortunate that these guests did not make themselves known to us.
Regarding the T.V. ..reception is good in all our bedrooms, if they were unhappy with the size of the screen, why did they not sit in our Residents Lounge with the large screen?
Regarding our bedding, some of our rooms have memory foam mattresses which take on your body shape and if this was the case, the mattress is not to everyone's liking, however we cannot be sure if this was the case as they did not make themselves known.
Regarding a " surcharge if you do not pay cash " we feel is a very unreasonable comment. We leave a notice in our bedrooms making our guests aware of the interest charges that the credit card companies charge, in fact, we very often do not pass that charge on.
We are here to please our guests, not upset them and if someone has a complaint to make, they really should make it known to us so that we can address it. It is most unfair to leave a property as if you have been happy with your stay, say absolutely nothing regarding your discomfort and then submit an unfair review.

Great welcome and a large, comfortable room with quirky furnishings. There is a large garden where you would be welcome to sit once it stopped raining - but that's Ireland! The facilities were excellent, good bed, hot shower and an excellent breakfast - one to ruin any diet. Internet facilities exist, but do not cover the whole of the house. We would thoroughly recommend this B&B.

Arrived and were welcomed and offered covered parking for the motorcycle. Lovely grounds and a beautifully clean an well maintained house. The four poster was a nice surprise. Handy for the village facilities. All in all a lovely place that we would recommend.

Stayed here for a short family break. Absolutely beautiful house with stunning gardens, beautiful food and extremely kind, friendly and helpful staff and owners. Perfect for families or couples. Lovely rooms with beautiful antiques. Has a games room with table tennis, pool and chess (which we found great fun in). Handy for anyone availing of the ferry. Overall a brilliant stay, without a doubt we will be back again ! Thanks to everyone for having us :)
