Went to the Blue Kitchen which is just off The Turntable roundabout in Brusubi. (From Bijilo turn left at The Turntable and its on the left just after Brusubi Police Station which is on the right)
Wide frontage, easy parking. You walk in to an indoor restaurant where the bar is too, then there is a spacious outdoor restaurant just through the patio doors.
We were warmly welcomed and even offered a free taster of wine as I couldn't make up my mind which to order.
We were meeting up with some friends and other people for the regular Friday night BBQ. We all arrived by 7-45 and were eating by 8pm!!
The BBQ was very, very nice. Plenty of salads, rice dishes, egg mayonnaise, coleslaw, cucumber, lettuce, fresh bread. The meat from the BBQ was beef, chicken and kebabs on a stick. The Beef was tender, on the bone but very tasty and we took the bones home for the dogs!
The chicken was particularly scrummy and the kebabs were really tender and tasty with tomatoes too, very nice. You could eat as much as you wanted AND ALL THIS FOR 250 DALASI!! That's about 5 quid each - great value and the drinks were good value too.
We fully intend to go back during the day as the Gambian Ladies have their allotments surrounding the restaurant and their produce is used in the restaurant.
