My husband and I spent a weekend here while hiking the surrounding areas. Although its furnishings feel a bit outdated, it offers comfort, cleanliness, space, and total autonomy. A great base for the area - you can settle in like it's home.
The breakfast basket left on our doorstep every morning was beyond anything I've received at any accommodation before. Everything made or grown locally. We were even invited to chicken dinner with the hosts one night.
There are several stand alone cabins in the village with kitchens, big bath tubs, yard swings, and lovely secluded porches. Our bed was the highlight for me, with billowy down comforters and great shades for keeping out the sun.
Best with car.
