“A typical sm building...same deffects to be found”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

A typical sm building.... looks like a hotel concept which is good but if you look into details you will see poor material selection use. Parking is expensive. Not too much attraction for now for the kids. Interior design was n8ce.

“Overhyped. Other malls are just as good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

The mall itself if pretty nice. It is designed well and different. Being different from the other SM designs is certainly a good thing. The location is also nice as it is located in the fastest growing city in the Philippines, I think.

The reason why I am giving this an average rating is because, in my opinion, it's not worth visiting as an attraction. Sure, it's a step towards improving the SM brand image, but those from the provinces don't really have to visit SM Aura. Or those far from the vicinity shouldn't have to travel just to visit this place, without any other real reason. It's just another mall with a good design, predominantly high-end brands, and a fresh aura (no pun). If you have a Uniqlo or Forever21branch near you, there's no need to go to this place.

So in summary, it's a good mall, but not worth visiting as an attraction.

PS: They have to improve the traffic situation. I live in the vicinity and traffic has been worse around the area since their opening.

“The latest of the SM Malls”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The newest and latest SM Mall built right at the heart of Bonifacio Global City, Sm Aura evokes a certain posh and grandeur appeal. Considered as a high-end SM Mall you'll expect high-end brands of stores and shops. Was fortunate enough to get a glimpse of its opening with non-other than hollywood superstar Sarah Jessica Parker as guest of Honor. The building itself has a unique appearance thats hard to ignore when your passing by. But if you have been to a lot of malls, theres really not much of a difference. It is clean with tight security that checks shoppers upon entrance. It also has the newest and latest IMAX Theater in manila, so i suppose thats one to look forward to. It is fairly easy to go here as all BGC buses will stop right at its doorstep, parking as all mall are is one big headache. And warning to all shoppers, theres heavy flow of traffic at rush hours which can get you stuck for a long time.

“SM's Newest Baby.. SM Aura Premier @The Fort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

It was both an accident that I got here, not once but on two consecutive days just this weekend. My friends and I were supposed to dine at Serendra but went far. A welcome mistake perhaps, from afar, the commanding presence was too much to ignore, and since we were already heading towards that side of the street, we tried the SM Aura Premier experience.

SM's attempt to have a high-end and premier mall for its upper strata somehow failed to establish why it can be an alternative to the Ayala malls. SM staples are still there. One would think, do I need to go out on my way to drive there if there’s nothing new that this new SM could offer, except “exclusivity”?
THE PROS: There were a lot of high-end boutiques and generic RTW shops like Uniqlo and Forever 21. The gourmet bakeshops are scattered everywhere were guaranteed freshly-baked goodies are sold. The shopping hall is large, not the usual cramped SM. Usherettes were likewise there to welcome its patrons. Parking, although is expensive at Php45, the park is spacious.
THE CONS: The design of the interior look neat and elegant but still has the signature smell and feel of an SM mall. The restrooms are average although better-than-your-usual SM. They could perhaps added posh on it by some decors of a high-end hotel-inspired powder rooms. The restaurants which are located on their 5th level, ala-skypark, when one wants to dine al fresco are just a handful. Oh well, let's give it a chance since some are still under construction. One barely has a choice. Their Food Court version on the 4th level somehow has variety of different cuisines, Chinese, Italian, Latin American, Filipino but are likely to be limited. Perhaps, because it is not spacious enough for one to operate their food establishment there. On another floor, the only fastfood chains are side-by-side, KFC and Jollibee.
In sum, SM Aura might be marketed as a posh shopping mall but failed miserably to offer what a hign-end mall should look like. Not so impressive. Maybe because it still boasts itself as SM, an average Pinoy’s mall.

“Was NOT impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

With all of the hype about the opening of this new SM mall I expected a fantastic and exciting visit. I was let down. It is a bit bigger than most SM's but it has all of the same stores and there is NOTHING that makes this have a WOW factor. It's an average, everyday mall in Manila.
