“La Girolle French Fine Dining Restaurant BGC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

La Girolle French Fine Dining Restaurant Blue Sapphire Building 30th Street 2nd Avenue Bonifacio Global City Taguig. One of the best French Fine Dining Restaurants in Manila. Opened in 2012 by Ian Padilla who has 11 years of experience in New York and France. Expect truly world class French cuisine and from the horse's mouth "Drama on a Plate" Highly recommended are their Pan Seared Foie Gras, 48 Hour Sous Vide Short Ribs of Beef, Sous Vide Egg and Chocolate Cremaux. It's great to see young talented chefs come back to the Philippines and setup shop. Please support this restaurant to inspire other young aspiring chefs! Bon Apetite! Check out our video below:

“A gem on its way to perfection!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

It wasn't easy to find the restaurant - that was part of the fun. Go through the lobby and take the lifts unless you are in the mood for a long climb then you take the stairs on the side.

The main course came in just a bit late and it wasn't even noticeable. Yet, Chef Ian Padilla went out of his way to apologise (and so did the waitresses) and even threw in a fabulous dessert and coffee. With such an attitude for service, La Girolle is well on its way to become one of my favourite restaurants.

I had the seared salmon with the black pasta while my wife had the scallops with pasta with white sauce. My black pasta fit well with my seared salmon but my wife said the white cream sauce and pasta were not a perfect match to her scallops. The scallops, however, were heavenly!

Chef Ian needs to work a little bit on his starters although I suspect had I ordered the veloute of sweet camote I would have been rewarded more than the pumpkin soup.

They do have a 8-course tasting menu at P3,000++ (roughly). I am sure that will be worth exploring the creative dishes of Chef Ian.

The fabulous dessert, by the way, I think was the "Banana 3 Ways - Banana Sorbet, Banana Cake, Roasted Banana Brulee." Try it! You won't regret it.

“World class!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A must-try for food lovers. Finally, degustation restaurants are starting to flourish in the Philippines! We purchased vouchers from Deal Grocer for a 5-course degustation menu and, oh my, we were so, so, so surprised, amazed and we just thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The chef is very creative with his ingredients and the diferent tastes blend so well together. Everything was perfect, from soup to dessert to wine. Yum!
If you loved Waku Ghin, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, you will definitely love it here.

“Good Value for a Quiet, Upscale Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2013

This is our firm's go-to place to impress clients. The quiet and tucked away location makes it perfect for small business meetings (though I suspect its intimate ambiance makes it perfect as a romantic venue as well). Tables normally seat 2 to 6, while the separate function room can seat up to 10, comfortably. The food is superb and so is the wine selection. For a fine dining restaurant with tasting menus, portions are quite enough to leave you satisfied. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food, drinks, and service. The food also never gets boring as each month brings a new menu and promotions (e.g., wine-all-you-can with tapas in the afternoon).

Chef Ian, Manager Joel, and the staff are very pleasant and always provide impeccable service. Chef Ian is very accommodating and will prepare dishes not on the menu, if they have the ingredients available. He can also tailor a menu for an event in advance.

The photos I've attached are from a special menu he made for our small firm's Christmas dinner. As the half-eaten mousse photo suggests, the food was delectable.

“"Well worth the find!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

A French hidden gem or should I say mushroom? Chef Ian is very helpful and greeted us in a most welcome way. Great tasty food and friendly service. Nice location on the second floor, hence no traffic noise. Great for couples, friend and business.
