“Loved the scenary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2008

I stayed there for 2 weeks with my 2 children, the owners Adrian and Sonia are very friendly and helpful. The scenary is just beautiful and so peaceful. The accommodation comprises of 1 double bed and another pull out bed that can comfortably fit another 2 adults. The room was clean and comfortable and the service very efficient and friendly. Adrian runs guided tours and we went to Vajecito a skiing resort less than 1 hour away from the B & B. The good thing staying at this B & B is that if you wanted to you can cook your own meals for dinner. Sonia is a fantastic cook. What more could you ask for at this B & B. Very well establised and a great experience for myself and my 2 girls. Highly recommeded. You will not be disappointed.

Couldn't agree with Luke more. We had a wonderful time enjoying the scenery and although the service came highly personalised we never felt 'in the way' as is often the case and were warmly welcomed and integrated into the family! It was quite difficult to leave and we'd go back in a heartbeat.

The highlight was certainly the amazing walks in the vicinity. You're unlikely to come across anyone else, which is a real treat. The hikes are rewarding (great, nutritous packed lunch), with the possibility of seeing condors quite close up, and nothing beats getting back and having a delicious meal (and handmade chocolates!) cooked for you on your return.

The accommodation is comfortable and very reasonably priced and you have your privacy should you need it. Lovely dogs, lovely friendly family and community in general.

Getting picked up from Mendoza in Adrian's very cool classic car was a bonus too!

Places like this are hard to come by and it remains a highlight of our 6 months in Latin America. Pics coming soon.

Myself and 3 friends stayed at the Silver Cord with Adrian and Sonia (the owners) for 2 nights and it was an absolute highlight of our 3 month travels around south and central America. If you like beautuiful remote mountain scenery then this is for you. The B&B is the wonderful family home of Adrian and Sonia who speak both English and Spanish. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the service feels personal and all the more rewarding for it. Adrian runs guided tours/expeditions of the beautiful area which we loved and are highly recommended. Although you can use the kitchen to make your own dinner, Sonia is an amazing cook so the homecooked food is also highly recommended. The main thing we took away from our time was the uniqueness of our experience. The area is virgin land for tourism; the silvercord is one of very few B&B's in Argentina, the guided tours and homecooked food are highly personalised to what the guests would like. You get the impression - I cant speak more highly of it.

We stayed in this B&B for 4 nights and loved it! It´s one of these places that´s very difficult to leave. The town is small, the surroundings are very beautiful and the people are friendly. It actually came recommended by other travellers we had met and we would like to pass that recommendation on.

The owners are a young family and they really make you feel at home. Adrian spekas fluent English and takes you on all kind of excursions in the beautiful mountaneous area at very reasonable prices. If you want you´re also welcome to have your meals with them. Adrian´s wife, Sonia, does all the cooking and it´s just brilliant.

If you´re looking for a home away from home, a place away from the noice and pollution and enjoy beautiful scenary: we´re sure you won´t regret going here!
