“Many choices along this street, but this is a good one.”

Limited menu, but very much enjoyed my choice. Great food, although a little pricey for what you get. Happy to recommend.

“Depends on who you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Grace is a funky little bar on the parade that has a very good wine and food list. The food is of good quality with some tasty small portions to gobble on (I love the chicken that is slow cooked then fried) as well as the baby burgers.

You can then move on to some more substantial dishes like pork, stakes etc.

The ambiance of the place is very good, with a beautiful outside area at the back, and some high benches and nooks where you can huddle.

While the above are the positives of Grade, the biggest problem with this establishment is whom you get to serve you. Unfortunatley there is a culture within this bar that sometimes makes patrons feel the staff are more important than their customers. I think if this culture is fixed (and the ability to handle large groups of people, which in my experience creates some caos within the bar and kitchen) and it will be a great regular place.

“Overpriced and Cold”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Heard a bit about the Grace and thought I would check it out with a couple of friends, sat in the back beer garden which was nice enough. Very small selection of mains, ever smaller if you are dining in the restaurant as you cannot order from the bar menu. Which is stupid.

Ordered the 2 sliders and fries for $18 deal, had two of these deals, the crab tacos and the orzo pasta. Took 25 mins when it was almost empty! Fries were like McDonalds fries and cold. Got the Wagyu and the Asian pork style sliders for my selection. Wagyu also tasted like a Maccas cheeseburger except $9 not $2 and smaller. The Pork one was ok flavour if maybe the meat had been hot it was lukewarm and not nice. Pasta was also ok but nothing flash for $25 probably the size of an entree at other places. Crab tacos were four for $12 and the size of the 'taco' was a 50c piece. The tortilla bread it was on was cold and crusty and not appealing at all.

Staff a bit up them selves, rather just chat at the bar to each other then look after customers. Saw a table of 8 get up and walk out after 5 minutes. Every table (6) had dirty plates on their tables and there was 5 staff on?!!?!?

There is also no staff uniform of any sort, not even just black, they can just wear casual which is okay if you wear appropriate things. However one of the waitress' with the shaved head had a see through top on and we could see her bra. Not really something you want to be seeing when the steaks are $50.

Basically we were hungry still and went somewhere else for more food after even though
our bill came to $98. DO NOT GO FOR FOOD. Nice places for a few drinks (expensive drinks) but nice feel.

“Bad attitude bar staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013 via mobile

Very disappointed with the service and attitude from the bar staff. To much into themselves and their friends and not the customers.
Venue charges Sydney drink prices but no focus on customer service.
Disappointing because it's actually a nice venue.
