“Just marvellous!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

We stayed at Trelew farm for two nights over the Easter weekend as we wanted somewhere quiet, rural and close to the Minack. Every box ticked and more!!!
The B&B is of high quality and is on a working farm. Nicola was a great host and allowed us our space to explore and relax. When ever we needed any information she was very helpful and friendly and has a great deal of information to allow for the exporation of the surrounding area, which has a good deal of ancient sites to visit.
The breakfast was delicious and is cooked to order - what more could we ask for from a B&B.
Thanks for the weekend and hope to visit again.

How many places have their own stone circle ? and we were able to stay on a farm that has one one their land -so serene so special .A proper working farm heading towards Lands End we felt privileged to stay there. A good breakfast set us up for the day. Nicola was very helpful and did a marvellous job in looking after us. A clean ship is a happy ship and this is certainly a first class port of call.

Having stayed here previously I knew it was the ideal place to bring my god daughter as a birthday treat and have a girlie time away. The weather although October was marvellous and we were able to retrace the places I had been to before. Lots of lovely eating places about. After the farmhouse breakfast we were served we really could have done without anything until suppertime but Cornish food is so tempting. Amazing to have our own private viewing of the stone circle of Boscawen-Un. There is nothing we could fault at Trelew Farm and I can now see this being a yearly event.

We stayed over the may bank holiday weekend for a week. Nicola had been extremely kind and let us change our date from Easter weekend as my boyfriend broke his ankle and we had been planning on lots of walking and cycling.

The room was very clean and made up every day for us. Breakfast was very good and Nicola cooked it to order, only slight downfall was no baked beans! Although had we asked for them they may have been provided.

The house is within a working farm with cows approx 50m away so could be a it smelly, as you ,ight imagine! Nicola and her husband also very kindly let us keep our mountain bikes in one of their outhouses and let us use their hose to clean them off after we'd been out on them. Trelew farm is ideally situated for Land's End, Sennen Cove and the Minnack Theatre.

The reason I have said that we probably won't return is that we didn't find Nicola very helpful to us or wanting to engage in conversation. The most she spoke to us was on the first and last day of our visit, and we were there for a week. Any advice she gave us was quite vague and not that helpful so we spent most of the time using our sat nav to find places to eat. We know, however, that she was not like this with everyone as from our room we heard her chatting happily away to other couples. I feel this may have been due to our age (both 24) as when there was another young couple there they appeared to receive the same treatment as us. I don't think it was deliberate but it was certainly apparent that she was more interested in engaging with older people.

We stayed here over a weekend in early September. It was very enjoyable and it's a working farm with lots of livestock. You can also walk over the fields to the Boscawen-Un stone circle which dates back to the Iron Age. As its so remote you'll probably be the only people viewing it. Good views all around from the fields. Its as bit off the beaten track in Cornwall but it helps to escape the crowds. Lands End and Sennen Cove are very close.
Nicola was a great host and provided a wonderful breakfast. Will definitely return.

We stayed at Trelew Farm over the May Bank Holiday weekend. We received a very warm welcome from Nicola, along with some great recommendations of things to see and do.

The farmhouse is a beautiful 17th century building with plenty of character although the bedroom was recently decorated and very stylish. The en-suite bathroom was modern and well-appointed and the bed was the most comfortable I've experienced in a long time! High-speed Wifi is provided free of charge.

Breakfast was my favourite part of the weekend - the farm's own pork sausages and bacon, fresh eggs and their own milk. We didn't need lunch!

The location is perfect - in the middle of acres of unspoilt countryside close to beaches of Sennen and Porthcurno and towns of Penzance and St Ives. The service was fautless and the rooms are reasonably priced. I will definitely be going back!

My wife and I stayed at Trelew Farm for 3 nights in September 2010 to celebrate our anniversary.

We arrived late on Thursday night and Nicola the propietor was kind enough to recommend some local places where we could grab a bite to eat.

Upon arrival we were greeted and shown up to our room - a very friendly and much appreciated welcome after a long trip donw to Cornwall. We had the double room (with a single bed in too) as the King size bedroom was already booked. The bed was comfy with warm bedding and soft pillows. I slept like a log! The bathroom was modern with all appliances (a little small but not a problem) and there was a TV in the room and tea/coffee set.

Breakfast was included and it was delicious! We sat down at the breakfast table and were asked what we wanted. I had full english and my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon on toast. All freshly cooked to order. Couldn't ask for a better way to start the day!

Trelew Farm is in a great location, in betwwen Lands End, Sennen Cove, Mousehole and Penzance. Not really knowing the area we were given some spot on recommendations from Nicola on where to go and what to (and avoid). Sennen Cove nearby is stunning, with a great pub in the bay and a lovely walk over the cliffs to Lands End. We were also told about a restuarant in Mousehole that made for a wonderful anniversary meal.

This was a great break, very relaxing, a lovely welcome and service whilst we stayed and very reasonably priced. Highly Recommended!
