“Perfect cottage”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2012

We stayed two weeks in Boskenna Cottage and it was perfect. Nice, very private location, good starting point for cliff path walks and trips through West-Cornwall The cottage was very spacious with al the equipment necessary and a luxury bathroom. We had nice weather so we used the garden often. The owners are very nice and helpful, though keeping enough distance.
We can recommend this cottage to people who prefer luxury and a quiet location.

This was the most fantastic bed & breakfast and Julia was extremely welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

What a fantastic break away we had. We stayed in one of the ensuite courtyard rooms -the room was excellent- comfy bed, very peaceful and very spacious. We even had a small fridge in our room-which was an neat extra to keep our walking supplies cool! The breakfasts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for Julia. If you ever need to get away then we would really recommend this place. It's in such an unspoilt part of Cornwall and if you do need WIFi then it's possible in the main house- but you would be better to get out, walk off the breakfast and enjoy the moors and coast!!

located five miles away from Penzance, nice car park and a walk through a courtyard into the main house. Welcomed with team and biscuits and shown the room. The bed for me was a little hard but the room was nice with a fridge, ipod/iphone charger and tea and coffee. Ensuite room very nicly appointed. Breakfast was very nice. We will stay here again and would love to try a room on the courtyard.

Room Tip: The newish rooms look very nice but you do pay more for them

In 2007 we stayed in one of the renovated stables, this time (2011) we selected the self-contained “Boskenna Cottage’ to stay in for three (3) weeks. Again, Julia and Godfrey were the perfect hosts always mindful of their guests needs.

From the décor, to the cleanliness of the cottage, the comfy king size bed, the spacious kitchen with the adjoining combined meals and family area, to watching Godfrey go about the farms daily work to relaxing outside and enjoying the Cornish night stars and the quietness of the location, it was all beautiful. Yes, it would have been nice to have wi-fi in the cottage but it was available in the main house 100 mtrs away and at the local St Buryan Hotel which is great for meals.

Thank you so much Julia and Godfrey – I would highly recommence 'Boskenna Cottage' not only to Australians visting Cornwall, but anyone wanting a Farm Stay that is truly exceptional and óne out of the box’ for comfort, relaxation and beautiful location.

We stayed for 4 lovely relaxing October days. The warm welcome instantly made us feel well looked after, and this feeling never left us till our departure. The rooms were everything we hoped for, and the breakfasts even better. We also had two evening meals - home cooking at its best. For walkers it is a perfect location as you can stroll down to the coast path in 10 minutes and you then have glorious sections to explore whether you go east or west. It was a pleasure to chat to Julia and Godfrey about local life, tourist attractions and the best places to eat. Thank you both (and the dogs!) for a wonderful break.

I recently stayed at Boskenna Farm for two days along with my husband and two of my friends from Canada. Our hosts Julia and Godfrey were so friendly and provided us with everything we needed for our stay. My husband and I stayed in a room in the farmhouse which was charming, and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our friends stayed in the converted stables and were equally thrilled with their surroundings. Each morning we had a full Cornish breakfast, which was cooked to perfection, with fresh eggs from the farm, along with fresh fruit and cereals and lots more. The melon and strawberry we had for breakfast on our last day was the sweetest I have ever tasted. Our friends went back to Canada saying what a lovely experience they had both had whilst staying at Boskenna Farm. Julia and Godfrey are such a great advert for bed and breakfasts in the U.K. and certainly deserve all the awards they have been given.

Room Tip: Farmhouse room overlooking the courtyard very quiet.
