Harbourside was our final stop before flying home to the UK from Brisbane airport. The airport itself is only 25 minutes by car, we drove into the glass house mountains and though we didn't go to it, Australia zoo is abut 45 minutes away.

We were greeted by Rob upon an early arrival. He was fantastic in helping us out where he could. Through email, we had asked if we could leave our cases while we went out for the day and that we would drop them off around 10am. As it happened, he already had the room ready for us (Including cot) so we he offered it to us straight away and it meant we did not lose a day of our holiday waiting for accommodation to allow us in. Added to that, at the end of our stay, Rob also let us hang around as our evening flight wasn't until 11pm. With 2 young kids, we were very grateful of this.

The place itself is unique for a family as one half of the bed and breakfast had master and separate children's bedroom that link through a small corridor with a bathroom also leading off. We could lock ourselves into this half and be self sufficient.

The B&B was clean, tidy, and most importantly for us after 3 weeks of bad beds in other accommodations, very comfortable. Our 2 kids, particularly our 5 year old boy loved playing with their daughter who is a lovely young lady. Polite, friendly and always smiling.

We will be back once we have made a move to Australia, this is a very good holiday destination and also feel like when returning, we will be visiting friends, not owners of a B&B.

If you have young kids, you should visit Redcliffe Lagoon which has amazing outdoor facilities.

We chose Harbourside B&B because of their location near the ocean and away from central Brisbane. There are only two rooms, but one was a family room which fit our needs perfectly. Everything was fresh, new and clean, and the owners, Rob and Sandy, were very friendly and helpful. They even gave us their old mobile phone they weren't using any more when I mentioned that I needed to purchase a cheap phone for our trip! All I had to do was buy a SIM card for it.

The breakfast was simple but good - cereal, juice, toast, coffee, etc. You can eat inside or outside near the lovely garden. There is a TV and DVD player in the common area and a decent selection of books and games to use. There was also a TV in our room. The neighborhood was also nice - a park directly across the street, a seafood restaurant and take-away a block away, and the Moreton Bay Boat Club which had a 2-for-1 meal deal on Tuesday night as Rob told us. Also nearby is Redcliffe, which has many fun shops and is where the Bee Gees lived and started their musical careers. There is a tribute to them in town.

I would highly recommend Harbourside B&B to anyone visiting the Brisbane area.

We stayed just the one night. Were impressed by the cleanliness. Good sized room literally across the road from the function centre & a very short stroll to the boat club.
The owners could not do enough to help. Even to the extent of putting on a pot of good coffee for us (unasked for) on Sunday morning. Strongly recommended for anyone wanting a no fuss stay.

Room Tip: Book early as there are only 2 rooms, 1 a double & 1 a family.

We had everything needed for an overnight stay on the way to Brisbane Airport with our 2 grandchildren, including breakfast. Shady park, fish shop and boat club adjacent. Would recommend it to anyone needing accommodation in the area.

I found the owner welcoming upon arrival and very helpful by offering suggestions for dining out. The room I was given was comfortable and roomy and very clean, as was the bathroom facilities. What more could you ask for.

Room Tip: I think there was only 2 to choose from.

We were planning on staying at a motel to check this item off my bucket list- eat moreton bay bugs in moreton bay. But I'm so glad we decided to stay at Harbourside B&B! It was clean and tidy and very comfortable. Trevor the manager was lovely. We walked to the boat club across the road and had a fantastic meal. Being so close to great dining places was great, and is such a quiet part of the suburb.
Highly recommended!
