Great attention to detail in all respects. Beautiful, quirky Beach Hut 'suite'. Staff attentive, solicitous and also warm and friendly - went the extra mile! Great restaurant and wonderful breakfast. Thoroughly recommend it - does exactly what it says on the tin! Well done. Ps. "Camber" our dog loved it too. Thank you!!

We stayed here on a Travelzoo deal which included bed and breakfast and an evening meal.

The location is good but don't come expecting a sea view like the pictures on here and their Facebook page. While they recommend it in summer I think I would avoid it in peak season as it's right opposite the main car park for Camber Sands so there would be a lot of traffic and hordes of beachgoers. It's a lovely place for a quiet off-season break though.

The welcome pack has some great suggestions for local activities and they'll even hire you a bike for £12 a day to go exploring the Romney Marsh. I believe there was Wi-Fi available but they could maybe do with putting the password in the welcome pack.

Our room was clean, comfortable and fresh smelling, with homemade cookies a nice touch. We found the walls and ceiling were very thin though as we could hear the people nextdoor and were woken up at 6 in the morning by the noisy plumbing!

The food was great though. It was both well-executed and very satisfying. Our deal meant we got a pair of starters to share (calamari and terrine) and the same main course (pork fillet), followed by two different desserts (creme brulee and a crumble). I struggled to finish all mine! The only negative was the deal didn't include a drink and the drinks were pretty much London prices (£4.50 a pint or small glass of wine). But getting a good deal on the room and food we were happy to pay a bit more for the drink. They had some good local wine and ale too, always a plus.

Breakfast the next day was again very good, plenty of choice and some homemade bits such as the granola and the tomato relish in my bacon sarnie. The staff were polite and very pleasant throughout our stay.

All in all I would go back for the food but not sure I'd want to pay the full asking price for accomodation as on this occasion it was only up to chain-hotel standards.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back, the front rooms overlook a main road

We stayed at the Gallivant on a travelzoo deal for two nights. Comfortable and clean room, excellent food and very friendly staff. The hotel is decorated throughout with a beach/sea theme in keeping with it's location, which is literally a stones throw away. The beach itself is an amazing stretch of flat sand the other side of the dunes. In Camber not much else but Rye is only a few minutes by car. Would definately recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Taking up a travel zoo deal which was very reasonable dinner bed and breakfast. The approach into Camber is fairly bleak but the hotel's location is fantastic for beach lovers, located directly opposite the vast expanse of sandy beach and sand dunes.

Our room was clean and comfortable, although we could hear our neighbours in their bath, so not sure how thick the walls are!

The dinner was a set menu due to the deal, with two choices for each course. Whilst simple it was very tasty and the sharing starter is a good idea. Drinks were on the expensive side.

The sitting room facility (with enormous telly) is a nice idea for young families.

The staff were all charming, efficient and helpful.

Stayed at the Gallivant on a travelzoo deal for one night. We had a pleasant stay in a comfortable clean room. Dinner was very nice with locally sourced produce and some nice local Chapel Down wine and beer. The staff were very friendly so no complaints from me.
The only negative is you are slightly cut off from anything else ie a pub.

We have just had an overnight stay at this hotel and thought it was really nice. The room was clean - very warm and inviting. The day that we arrived was extremely wet and cold but the hotel room was very good. The staff were extremely welcoming.

Our dinner was good - although we did lack fellow diners - but on a Tuesday evening at this time of the year it is not surprising.

Our breakfast was amazing - we left our car at the hotel and walked along the beach front to Lydd. A six mile walk but just great.

We caught a bus back to Rye - had a nosey around - and then walked back to Camber to collect our car.

Such a wonderful stay - will certainly return.

Room Tip: We had room no 10 which was very nice

All the things under control of the hotel were great, lovely food, friendly staff, clean and pleasant rooms - only the mattresses we felt were no so comfortable.

Sadly the weather was poor and that we will need to write elsewhere

Thank you for a good break

Room Tip: Do not take as much luggage as my wife

Welcome to our restaurant with rooms across the road the the beach. Inspired by the coastal motels you might find in California, we're a bit shabby chic, but above all relaxed and welcoming. Almost all of our food is sourced within 15 miles of us, most of it only hours old. Our beds are the most comfortable we could find (we tried a lot). Our beach is extraordinary.
