I guess my ideas of a kibbutz came straight from Hollywood, so Hagoshrim, more like a big country inn than a hotel, was a total surprise. Our room was unpretentious but suitable and comfortable. The free wifi was great considering that most "better" hotels charge for the service. The lounge and bar were big and open, and there was entertainment each evening of our stay. The restaurant was good, the selections varied, and certainly plentiful. We attended a talk about the kibbutz one evening and took a tour the following morning so we were more aware of the "inner workings" of life at Hagoshrim and how it has changed over the years. We were on a Margaret Morse Tour (highly recommended) and went to the Golan Heights and the Galilee from there, so Hagoshrim is also nicely located as a base from which to take day trips. I'd recommend everything we did there.
