A lovely quiet relaxing place to go to, just what we needed to end off our trip through Zimbabwe. There are plenty of activities offered at the Inn as well as close by. The food was great, as was the atmosphere.

We visited The Inn in May while doing a 14 day tour classic car around Zimbabwe - the Group stayed at most 4 and 5 star hotels and Lodges throughout the country and this hotel scored the best of the lot and 10/10 for hospitality, rooms, food, service - only the access road made for a bit of tough going for little, low cars.

My husband and I have over the years stayed at this amazing place numerous times and can honestly say, we have never been disappointed! The distinguishing feature of this overall excellent place to stay is the superbly competent, cheerful and friendly staff - having travelled a fair bit in Africa and abroad, we have never come across staff so willing to do their absolute best for us to have a wonderful stay - it remains the main reason why we never tire of going back! That said, the rooms themselves are beautifully furnished, each with their own breathtaking view of the surrounding scenery. A good variety of activities is on offer by the hotel for those who want to exert themselves - including a legendary trip up Rupurara Hill before breakfast. Meals are wonderfully prepared and served in the cosy and intimate setting of the hotel's dining room. The 4 course dinners served at the end of each day are always really wonderful and a real indulgence. We will definitely continue visiting Rupurara Inn and look forward to introducing more of our own family and friends to this wonderful place! Thanks to everyone at Rupurara...

We had a lovely stay were well looked after - the game drive was a bit delayed which we are not sure why this happened as the guy who we waited for at the truck didnt come with us in the end went wit some other people - it was meant to start at 4pm and we only got going at 4.35pm - Shame was a very good guy though despite the delayed start and we did see plenty of game, just would have had a more leisurely drive had we set off on time - Gloria and her lodge staff were lovely and very accomadating with everything and it was good to see old faces still there - she also made a lovely gesture by wrapping a photograph frame for our anniversary which is the reason why we went in the 1st place, such a personal touch which is rare these days - thank you for a wonderful stay and we shall get back i am sure sometime soon! Cheers for now, kind regards, Jules & Stu Tippett. PS the xmas in June evening was very festive and we had such lovely crackers and table decs very festive all round!!

Room Tip: Family room recommended if you have two families and especially with children!

Friendly, accommodating staff were very understanding when we were almost an HOUR late for breakfast service (which I felt finished a little early at 9am). Really thoughtful touches like hot water bottles accomany the turn-down service.

Sadly we were denied an evening game drive as it was "full" - I cant help feeling that this particular activity is undercatered, seating a maximum of 12 (we were told) given that there is a lodge capacity of around three times that figure (Im guessing?)

Altogether a stunning weekend none-the-less. Such an idyllic location in a beautiful country.

Room Tip: Valley view rooms are stunning - the higher up the room number the further away (17 being furthest...

Rupurara Inn was much more than I expected. The service was excellent from the first to the last day of our visit.
We came rather late and we were welcomed by the staff with their nice uniforms. They took our things to the rooms and a delicious dinner was waiting for us.
The rooms were so nice. I have never tried such a comfortable bed!! The rooms have a romantic balcony with a beautiful view.
You find a bath and a shower in the bathroom. At this hotel you can really feel relaxed and take a time to admire the beauty of the nature.
One thing that I loved was to get a cup of coffee early in the morning before breakfast, this is an extra service that Rupurara Inn has to offer, you decide at what time they will deliver the te/coffee and afterwards you can go to the dining room and get a delicious breakfast including cereals, fresh bread, fruit, juice, milk, coffee/the, eggs (omelett, fried or any type you like.).
To continue with the adventure you can find different activities, from safari drives to mountain bike safari. The guide was great and he explains a lot of history behind this wonderful place.

Rupurara Inn has a little swimming pool and a little sauna, since we traveled in the winter it was so great to take a nice time in the sauna after the great activities that we booked.

The food is also delicious. The staff can also a lot of gastronomy and the different kind of wines depending on the food that you order. By the way, it is very important to get well dressed after 6.00pm. This is a very important etiquete rule not only at Rupurara Inn but also in other restaurants or hotels in Zimbabwe.

We tried the mountain bike safari, we were able to admire the beautiful view from the mountains, we could see animals like giraffes, mountain rabbits, zebras, antelopes, baboons, and exotics insects and frogs, by the way, be careful with these animals! african wasps are common, try to get you own mosquito net since they don't have that at the hotel!
Be careful with the beautiful frogs! they can be poisonous!
If you are satisfied with the service don´t forget to give tips, there is a "tip-box" for the staff in the reception, but it is important to notice, if you are also satisfied with the guides, then you tip them personally after the activities!

I recommend this place without hesitating, it was one of the most beautiful experiences in Zimbabwe!

The food was great! Bottle of wine with the dinner was great! events were open if we wanted to participate in!
My kids and husband did the early mountain ride and that was great. They had a phenomenal time! Dinner was great.

Room Tip: room 18 has the best view!
