What can I say, absolutely brilliant. The breakfast is a never ending, self-service fry up and the rooms are absolutely enormous....and I mean, enormous. This hotel has imprinted itself upon my mind forever, it's impossible to fault. It's a wee bit of a way out from Stirling town centre but the walk through Bannockburn is lovely.

We stayed at the King Robert on 1st and 2nd March to celebrate our Golden Wedding. We wanted a quiet break. We got it. The room was nice. The staff were nice. The food was excellent. Breakfast and Dinner both days was superb. We can't complain about a thing. Next time we want a quiet break it will do for us.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back. Downstairs. It was very quiet. Recommended.

Great stay at King Robert. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was extremely good. They also sold meals later in the day that were delicious and reasonably priced.
Entertainment in the lounge/bar was fab.
Hotel is a few minutes from Stirling city centre and Stirling Castle. I will definitely be going back in two years time.

Found this to be a very good weekend. Rooms clean, food very good. Staff a real credit to the place. Nothing was too much trouble, they did everything they could to help. The place was very busy on the Saturday night with a wedding and a tribute night but they still managed to look after others very well.

We stayed Friday and Saturday at the King Robert for the Tribute weekend.2nd Feb. The hotel is very clean large rooms. the staff were fantastic and we were well looked after. Can't complain about any of the meals both nights superb. Saturday night was the Neil Doamond Tribute. Even with 190 for the meal before the show the service was great. As for the Tribute act it was fantastic all the great diamond songs for a hour and he also did hour of Cabaret. A super show. Loved how he got every one involved. We will be back at the King Robert. Thanks for a great weekend.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

We stayed here two nights as a part of our package tour in October last year. The rooms were very outdated and the beds in dire need of replacing. The mattresses appeared to be at least 30 years old, and were terribly uncomfortable, and the linens likewise. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator to access it so we had carry our luggage up a sprial staircase. The location of this hotel is not close to any other restaurants within walking distance. On check-in evening the hotel's restaurant was full and could not seat half of our group in the dining room, but they did let us order off the dinner menu in the bar. Food was fairly decent. I will say breakfast was nice with a lot of variety, and the front desk, bar, and restaurant staff very warm, friendly, and helpful.

Room Tip: Stay away from the second floor accessed by the spiral staircase!

What a brilliant Xmas party night - Monster Rock Show plus disco as well! The Hotel was really lovely, modern, bright entrance and brilliant Customer Service - the Staff were v customer focused at all times - "how can I help" was there attitude - it's good to see that "good old fashion putting the customers at the forefront" - especially Anna, Kevin, Robbie and Lorraine. The meal was v nice, my turkey dinner was lovely - please send my compliments to the Chief and all kitchen staff, the unseen heros! The price for drinks was really good as well, as most of my party were on a small budget! A few of us stayed for B&B, v good value and the rooms were bright and modern and spotless clean - the breakfast was amazing as well - good old Scottish Breakfast to start your day! We will be back, as Arnie Schwarzeneggar would say, lol
