We attended the dinner theatre in Rosebud. The performance was excellent and the food was awesome. I would highly recommend this dinner theatre, as this is not the first time we have attended and it has always been great.

“Anne of Green Gables”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

First time to the theatre. Attended matinee. Small stage but well designed set. Actors were so great, particularly Anne, Mrs. Lynch, Marilla and Matthew.
Our seats were great. Heard this was their best play in a few years so very glad that we were there for it.
Lots of kids but the play kept their attention.
The lunch prior to the play was pretty good though green salad was only green salad. Had 3 entrees available.

“We loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

While looking at attractions in the Drumheller area, we decided to book tickets online for the Rosebud Theatre's production of Anne of Green Gables; travelling on the Canada Day long weekend seemed like an appropriate time to see this piece of Canadiana. We were not disappointed.

There are some little shops and galleries to explore if you arrive early or if you finish dinner and have some time to kill before the theatre starts. The theatre is across the street from where the dinner is held.

Although we're not big fans of buffets, the buffet dinner at the Mercantile was delicious. We had paid online so the only added expense was any alcoholic beverages one chose to purchase. Coffee and tea are included in the price of dinner. The bill reminds customers that the gratuity was not included in the online price for dinner and the theatre, so tipping on the whole amount ensures the servers are compensated fairly. Most of the servers appeared to be students and although some seemed a bit inexperienced, they were eager to please, and there was nothing negative to mention.

Not only was it a very good meal, but the atmosphere was also enjoyable. A father and daughter musical duo went from area to area entertaining by singing and playing the guitar. Most songs were on the biblical side though. Although the place is quite large, it is divided into smaller rooms all with cute names, so it does not in any way seem like a big banquet hall.

The play was fantastic! The quality of the music and acting was superb and there was a fair amount of humour for additional entertainment. The audience was mostly adults of all ages with a few teenagers and a very few number of younger children (about 8 or so years of age).

“Get Awat This Summer!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

With the great summer weather it is time to hop in the car and head for the Rosebud Dinner Theater. You start off with a home cooked buffet in the Rosebud Mercantile. During the summer season you can sit on the patio or eat inside. Entertainers will come by and sing while you are eating. And the desserts are incredible!
Anne of Green Gables is the play they are doing for the summer months. Great entertainment for the whole family! We went on a Thursday afternoon. Plays run each day Wednesday to Saturday with a matinee on Thursday and Saturday at 1:30 There is accommodation available in Rosebud. They have an R.V. park and several Bed & Breakfast homes in the town.,
The only minor criticism I have of the whole experience was our waitress brought us our bill before we had finished our mea.
I highly recommend this great attraction if you are close by.
