“Will be back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

Just returned after a 11 night stay, cannot fault the place from the food quality, quantity and variety, there is something for everyone. Cleanliness is second to none, towels changed twice daily. Staff very friendly. Hotel ideally situated for bus, boat or taxi to all areas of the island. All set in a setting second to none on the island! Special mention to Stefano's ski/ boat hire (located on the beach) professionally run and very knowledgable to enable you to have a fantastic time exploring the different beaches Skiathos has to offer. Stefano, a very nice man with a lovely family. This was the first time hiring a boat but was so good we went back a second time! If you get the chance, go and do it! We visited Arkos island by boat and had a fantastic time with great food in an idyllic location. The taverna located on the beach (separate to the hotel) is well worth a visit as food is excellent with friendly staff and great views. Other restaurants well worth a visit are Salt and Pepper (Troulos), Calma ( bus stop 16), Green Park (bus stop 16) and The Windmill ( skiathos town). We hired a car from the reception of the hotel for a very competitive rate and had a great time exploring the island. This is the best place we have stayed in Skiathos! We will be back!

Room Tip: Had great views from room 414 (split level family room)

We have just come back from 2 weeks at KBR and are missing it already.

Apart from it being a holiday for us, our son got married at the hotel.

We cannot find anything negative to say about our experience at the hotel, and agree with all the positive points made in previous reviews. All the staff were great and very attentive to our needs. Thomson managed to send my sons bags to the Dominican Republic, which ended up with his fiancée and son (17 mths) arriving, very distressed, on there own, and with no luggage. The manager was very understanding and organised the hotel mini bus to take us to the airport and wait for us to collect them, thank you once again. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful in all respects. My wife got bitten on the first night by a mosquito on her eyelid, and when we went to reception they produced a large box of medication, from which one of the girl's put a lotion on my wife's eye, this did the trick. Every time we saw someone we had previously spoken to, they asked about my wife's eye. We had forgotten to bring anything for mosquito's, so reception gave us a plug in to put in our room. If you have any problems, or requests, ask at reception. We were later told that the Mayor had cut the budget for spraying the fields against mosquito's, and that now they had a plague of them, beware, it's not the hotels fault so take something with you just in case. Also remember to take a European adaptor with you as well.

Because of my diet I eat with a teaspoon. With every new server I had to ask for a teaspoon to eat with. One day in town I bought a tea shirt with "Please can I have a teaspoon" written on it. The staff loved it, got the message, I got my teaspoon, and we always had a joke with them. Always plenty to choose from at breakfast and dinner, where all tastes are catered for.

We went on a sailing yacht trip for the day, this was great with only 10 passengers. We also went on the round island cruise which was exceptional and well worth doing. Stefanos on the beach is also able to cater for hiring a boat for the day etc. The hotel also has an exceptional children's playroom in the basement of the main building which will keep them occupied for ages.

The hotel organised our sons wedding very professionally. The buffet dinner afterwards was fantastic. The wedding in the gazebo was beautiful, and later sitting eating overlooking the sea was out of this world.

Thanks to all the staff for all their hard work in making our holiday, and my sons wedding, a memorable occasion.

We shall be returning again (we still have another son to go).

Room Tip: We had a garden view room (501) but still had a view of the sea over the roof of the rooms in front.

Just returned from a week at KBR. The service from start to finish was excellent. We had a seaview room which was worth the extra and was clean and comfortable. Went HB and the food was very good, the only thing I would say is that the salad choice in the evening is very limited, but there was plenty of other choices to have. The beach service for food and drink is excellent and Niko the beach waiter works extremely hard and felt he could do with some help at times, but he always had a smile and very polite no matter how busy he was. The downside for the beach is the reserving of sunbeds, which the hotel is aware of the problem. We was there one day and many beds had been reserved and the two next to me arrived for an hour only at 11.30 but kept there towels on the beds all day, which is unfair on others especially as people was looking for beds. The bar area by the pool is nice a relaxing and the service is good at all times. I was surprised by the toilets by the pool as they are joint mens and ladies and seem out of character with the rest of the hotel. Used the bus service and the water taxi, which is a good way to get around as there are no supermarkets for a least a 15 min walk. I like trying different places but should I return to Skiathos I will return to KBR.

First stay at Kassandra Bay with a group of friends and my 11 year old daughter and we will definitely be back. Great rooms, excellent service, good breakfast.
The pool is very clean and well attended.
Location was spot on, can't fault our holiday at this hotel.

Room Tip: I would pay extra for the sea view.

My wife and I stayed at Kassandra Bay from 6-20 June. It was the second year we have been and it was just as amazing as the first. We really cannot fault anything about this place. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The lad serving on the beach (Ahmed) was fantastic. Always helpful and quick to bring you whatever you ordered. The choice of breakfast caters for everyone and Davor deserves a mention for his friendliness each morning. We stayed B&B so cannot comment on the evening good although we did eat at the poolside bar at lunchtime on several occasions and the food then was excellent too. The water taxi into Skiathos Town is a great way to travel to the many eateries it has to offer. Our room (423) was spotless with clean towels everyday and clean beach towels to pick up from reception each day. The view from the balcony is wonderful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and will return again soon. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island as there is such a nice relaxed and friendly atmosphere about the place. Thank you again all at Kassandra Bay.

Travelled to Kassandra Bay in June 2014 for 11 nights, with my husband and our 2 friends. This was our third time in skiathos but our first at KBR. I cannot understand some of the negative reviews on this site. We have only just unpacked but are already looking to return again next year! We stayed on a B & B basis and there was more than enough choice at breakfast for even the fussiest of eaters. Lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, cakes, cereals, and all " full English dishes ", something for everyone. Yes, some mornings the staff were a little slow in bringing tea & coffee, maybe self service may be a better option as the staff were kept busy clearing tables. There was a fresh pancake station which may have been better used to make fresh omelettes etc but I am just being picky .All the staff, from reception, to restaurant, to bar, were all extremely hard working and friendly. If you take the time to speak to them they are all happy to chat. A smile, please and thankyou go a long way.! We took the water taxi into skiathos town a couple of evenings but you could get a bus or taxi to any resort on the island at a reasonable price. At bus stop 16 in Paraskevi, try the Calma Taverna. Its tucked away down a little lane at the side of Platanias Bar. Nikos ,Maria and their boys will make you very welcome & her food is amazing!! Also, try Salt & Pepper at bus stop 18,again, amazing food & service.
The rooms at KBR are spacious and clean. The towels were changed morning & evening and bedding changed daily. Pool towels could be changed daily. We had a twin seaview room with a private balcony to sit & take in the views. Beautiful!
To sum up, a beautiful hotel, situated on the beach front, perfect for a relaxing holiday. Will definitely be back again.

This was our second stay at the Kassandra Bay and we were hoping it was going to be as good as our first visit. We need not have worried because if anything it has actually improved.
We stayed bed and breakfast as we like to go out at night and eat in the many restaurants in the town and around the island.
For us the hotel is perfect because of the standards it sets in terms of cleanliness, accommodation, location, service and friendliness.
Because we stayed two weeks later this time the water taxi was available to take and return us to the town every day /evening. This departed from the jetty on the beach right outside the hotel and only cost 2.5 Euros per trip and only took 10 minutes. The alternative is by bus or taxi or twenty minute walk but the water taxi is a great way to visit the town.
The hotel has two pools with plenty of comfortable sun loungers with parasols. The private beach is just a few steps away again with plenty of loungers and parasols. There is no problem getting a lounger as they have enough for all the guests. Also, fresh beach towels are available every day. For us the Kassandra Bay has the best location on Skiathos as most of the other hotels are on the wrong side of the main road for beach access.
The staff always had a friendly smile and nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist booked us a lovely restaurant called Olive Land which is located up in the hills from the hotel and arranged for them to pick us up and return us free of charge.
The rooms were large and spotless with fresh luxury towels and sheets every day. The air con was quiet which gave us a great nights sleep for the full two weeks. We had a split level room with two bathrooms two sofas, two televisions and free safe. We also had a balcony with stunning views of the neighbouring islands.
We have only a couple of minor gripes where the hotel does not live up to its five star status. The poolside toilets are a bit of a disappointment. My wife felt uncomfortable using them because although the cubicles are labelled men and women they are next to each other in a communal room with the top of the cubicles open. The last time we stayed these toilets, would you believe, had opaque glass walls! This has now been rectified but in our and other guests opinion a separate block for each sex would be much appreciated. Although spotless at the beginning of the day they could have also been cleaned on a more frequent basis.
One retrograde step from our last stay was at breakfast. When it was busy it was difficult at times to obtain a coffee or tea from the waiters. This was not their fault as they were very busy clearing and re setting tables. However, they did their best and always tried to please. The last time we stayed you just went up to the tea and coffee area and a lady provided them almost immediately which proved more efficient.
All in all we had a great holiday at the Kassandra Bay and will definitely return again.

Room Tip: A sea view is a must
