“Superb visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

This was the first time a friend and I visited Skiathos and so we had never stayed at The Atrium before. We were absolutely thrilled with the holiday, hotel and overall experience. The hotel is stunning - the sea view breathtaking - and the staff were very attentive, friendly and consistently worked to high standards. The hotel is family owned and it shows in regards to attention to detail and the friendly, personal approach from the staff. The food and drink were delicious, the pool clean with a great bar and restaurant, and overall the experience was really fantastic. Nature lovers will also really love this: fresh pomegranates growing in the garden, beautifully coloured fish that come right up to you while snorkelling in the sea opposite the hotel (take some bread rolls to feed to them!). My friend and I are both well travelled and have stayed in a lot of nice hotels all over the world, but we both agreed this was our best holiday yet as everything added up to a superb experience. It was even 30 degrees c every day in late September/early October. My advice would definitely be: GO!

Room Tip: ask for a room on the 7th floor - best view.

We stayed at this hotel in July & thoroughly enjoed it. After an early morning flight we arrived at the hotel at mid-day, our room was ready but we were shown to the bar for a complimentary welcome drink which was a nice touch! Our room was on the top floor, so we had a lovely view over the pool & out to sea. The bed was comfy & the bathroom quite modern. The hotel is at the top of the hill, it's a 2 minute walk down the hill into Agia Paraskevi to a few bars, restaurants & a supermarket etc.. & the bus stops are also here & it takes about 15 mins into Skiathos town. All the staff at the hotel are very pleasant & chatty. The receptionist was also very helpful when we had to call a doctor during our stay. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice & sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the pool was a nice way to start the day! Lovely pool area, comfy loungers etc.. and the pool menu was reasonably priced. I would definatley recommend this hotel, I booked with Thomson & wasn't aware they had suites with private pools until I arrived. There wasn't an option to book an upgraded room on the Thomson website!

Room Tip: Book a high level floor for a great view.

After our first trip to just over a year ago ( where we got engaged) I knew it wouldn't be long before we were back. It was the perfect destination to get married, we fell in love with the Atrium hotel, it's fantastic staff and stunning views. Elektra is a superb manager nothing was too much trouble, the wedding reception was seamless and her attention to detail was second to none. We were fortunate to be upgraded on our second week to room 109 ( junior suite with private pool) this was amazing and perfect for getting ready with my bridesmaids. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel, don't forget to book the BBQ on Friday nights the food was fabulous !! Thank you so much Elektra for an unforgettable two weeks oh and not forgetting Gustavo ( pool barman) for keeping the drinks flowing at the bar !

We stayed at the Atrium from 14th to 28th September on a package deal through Direct Holidays.
An early morning flight from Newcastle saw us land in Skiathos before midday (just in time to catch the first few drops of rain since May !!).
Flight and transfers were fine, no delays or problems encountered.
Allocated room 405 which was very convenient (far enough away from the road and not too far to climb !!), the room was spotlessly clean and well laid out with the sleeping and sitting areas on split levels.
The south facing balcony had reasonable views (slightly obscured by the block on level 3 but fine really)however it was not covered-in which lead to towels getting soaked, the lesson here is don't try to dry towels in the rain !!
The only complaint we had was the fact that air conditioning was switched off centrally on 15th September (the day after we arrived, although we knew this in advance) and the weather during our second week was so hot that AC was really needed at nights that we felt the management could have switched it back on.
Breakfasts were good and is mainly eaten on the pool terrace but due to persistent rain over our first five days we opted to take cover and eat inside.
Cleaning of the room was first class, towels changed daily and bedding changed regularly too.
We only ate dinner in the hotel on the first night, which we couldn't fault but it did not wet the appetite enough for us to visit again.
Agia Paraskevi is smaller than we imagined however there were more than enough tavernas to enable you to eat somewhere different every night mostly of a good standard and reasonably priced.
This was our first visit to Skiathos, and once the weather cleared up we hired a jeep and got round most of the island which is as beautiful as ever body on Trip Advisor says.
We will return to Skiathos and most likely to the Atrium (although not next year and probably only for a week) and would highly recommend to our friends without reservation.

Room Tip: Pool view rooms will be really good, but are are long climb from the road,if you are fit go for it...

We've just got back from a weeks holiday at the Atrium Hotel and it was absolutely amazing! The hotel is beautiful and has wonderful views over the bay. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and everywhere was beautifully clean. We can't fault this hotel in any way and if we decided to go back to the beautiful island of Skiathos we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

After many years of holidaying I have never felt compelled to wite a review before but in this case I just had to! What a beautiful hotel! It was the first time my husband and I have been on holiday alone in 18 years and I'm so pleased it was to this particular hotel! It is a stunning location and the view from our room was breathtaking. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels/sheets changed daily too. The hotel itself is immaculate and the staff are wonderful, really friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast had a huge variety to choose from and was really tasty. A memorable holiday and I will definitely be retuning.

Stayed again at the Atrium for a week from 21st Sept. We stayed B&B this time but did eat dinner one evening when moussaka was on the menu. The food is delicious at the hotel and quite reasonably priced. We paid £20 each for a 3 course meal and as it is served buffet style you can eat as much as you want and have various dishes - yum yum.
The hotel is very clean, everywhere is immaculate and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
We had a room on the same level as reception and as we were returning guests a bottle of wine and fruit were left in our room for us.
The bed was a little hard for my liking & I did let reception know this. My husband slept incredibly well, in fact no sooner his head was on the pillow, he was fast asleep!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are fine and have sea view, just depends on your own preference.
