“5 star resort and spa without a spa”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

We were so excited for this trip but on arrival we were let dowm by the 3 major things we wanted to do, Eat in the restaurant- Closed, Relax by the pool with a cocktail, Bar not open and a massage in the spa, Spa not built yet. So dissapointed. We went to have a game of tennis and no staff were on to supply balls. Overall if you want a quaint lifeless holiday visit this place cause that is what you will recieve. Also the towels that were provided were falling apart and frayed all over, I dont count this as 5 star. Would you?

Stayed here with friends in November 2011. Being an HVAC geek I was completely enamored with the design of the townhouse-style unit we stayed in. Beautiful use of natural ventilation and lighting coupled with a great kitchen, comfortable beds and a great patio/living area made me never want to leave. The pools and fitness center were very nice as well. Everything was very modern and clean, the rates were reasonable (we slept 5 people comfortably in the townhouse). Didn't get much opportunity to explore the surrounding area/restaurant scene, but there was a good grocery store and it was hard to resist cooking in that awesome kitchen!

I love going here, the apartments are big, modern and private. Friendly excellent staff, best customer service. Great restaurant, awesome heated lap pool and gym, good kids pool. Such a relaxing place to go, close to the beach too. I plan to go every year. Love it!

Room Tip: There are both 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, they are all in a good position

We have eaten at Seaspray restaurant sevral times over the years, but were disappointed when we lunched there recently. The food was what I would expect in a cafe, not a resort restaurant and the service only fair. We would like to stay at the resort as the facilities look beautiful but think we would give the restaurant a miss.

Dear Mr& Mrs Powell, firstly on behalf of The Seaspray Resort we would like to thank you for your valuable feedback and offer I sincere apologies for not being able to meet your needs and wants on the day.It is confronting feedback like yours that provies us with a snap shot of our areas of opportunity which we will now strive to rectify in terms of the menu items as well as the service profile. We will be changing our menu over the next 4-6 weeks and continue our focus at Seaspray on the service orientation. We hope that you would give Coco's another opportunity to showvase the product and service in the near future.

Spent 5 nights at Seaspray and enjoyed very much. We traveled with 2 adults and 2 children, the unit was spacious and modern. Bed was comfortable, kitchen stocked with basic utensils/cookware and a bbq. Lovely gardens, kids loved the pool, spent many hours in it. There is also a great lap pool and good gym all complimentary. Our kids are a little small, but there were bikes to use, and tennis courst and basketball court for use. Friendly and helpful staff, we got a special where we paid for 3 nights and stayed for 5, incredibly good value. Close enough to Emu Park, Yeppoon and Rockhampton, plenty to do. Highly recommend. Only down side was the $5 charged for an average take away coffee from the restaurant?! This put us off going to the restaurant for a meal, so cant comment on food.

Dear Guest on behalf of the entire team at Seaspray we thank you for your valuable feedback and we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed what we are proud to advertise as 'The Seaspray Experience'. We take on board your comments in relation to the price of an espresso coffee at Seaspray. Unfortunately it appears no one on sight encouraged you to get a Experience Seaspray Card which would entitled you to a 15% discount on the coffee as Resort Guest. We have re enforced this with the team to ensure that they encourage all our guests to sign on to our Loyalty Card and hence receive the benifits. We lookforward to welcoming your family and you back as Experience Seaspray Members who will then receivec the full benifit of your Seaspray Experience.

Regards,

Denham.

Although a bit off the beaten track, the facilities, cleanliness and service at these apartments more than made up for location. Having said there is still plenty of beautiful nature to be explored near by. There was free mountain bike hire which was awesome. The apartment it self was spacious airy and very well equipped. It was very good value for money.

We booked this resort to stay overnight during our trip and we very pleased with value and quality of this place. It is more appropriate for longer stay but I was glad we booked this hotel. My family was in awe about the size of the living room, which I would design differently but hey it is not my house it's just hotel. One think we didn't like was we had to leave everything in the kitchen and grill spotless or they would charge us extra fee, which again would be OK if we stay for a week but not for one night, so bear it mind when choosing this hotel.

Dear Mr & Mrs Maciej and family, we thank you very much for your constructive feedback and most importantly that you chose to stay at this womderful destination on the coast. Your comments are very valid in relation to having clean the kitchen and we will be reviewing that process effective immediately and be no longer requesting guests to leave the kitchen in a tidy condition, and no extra charged will apply. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
