Stayed for 2 nights as a base.
Arrived at approx. 8pm at night. A bit of a peculiar set up with regards to the car park, main entrance to the Inn itself and Beefeater entrance. However, when we found the entrance we were greeted by a friendly member of staff, who was quick and efficient.
First impressions - could do with a bit of a freshen up in regards to the décor etc but as other Premier Inn's which we have visited in the past it was cleaned to a high standard.
We decided to eat at the Beefeater restaurant on our first night. A very popular eating place to the local's. We had to wait a little while to be seated but again staff were again very friendly and polite.
Food was decent and service was excellent!
Our first night was a bit of a nightmare. Our room was situated on the first floor directly next to the fire doors. Unfortunately the fire door banged as it came to close so we got a poor sleep that night. However, we were relocated for the second night and slept soundly.
Breakfast was good - as other Premier Inn's and good value. Served in the Beefeater restaurant. Again staff were excellent.
All in all a comfortable visit. It is conveniently situated on one of the main routes to the city. Value for money. As mentioned previously, our first night was a disappointment but on checking out we were reimbursed that night's charge - no questions asked.
We definitely would stay there again, but as I said - GIVE IT A BIT OF A FRESHEN UP, PREMIER INN!!!
Try to avoid room 45! (however, maintenance were rectifying the door problem as we left)
