“Great location and lovely views from our room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Spent two nights here in a superior twin room.Room was large with views over the garden to the Grand Canal. The bathroom was enormous with a great shower. I liked the 'Venetian look' and this made the hotel a unique experience. Great location with Vaporetti stop 30 seconds from hotel. Slept well and hotel was quiet. Buffet breakfast was good too. Service was friendly and not intrusive.

Our first trip to Venice and we stayed in this delightful palace. It is on the Grand Canal but in the area of Cannaregio. We could walk to the Rialto Bridge with about 6 minutes but it also has a vaporetto stop right outside so we used the waterbus system extensively. Murano glass has been used for the lighting throughout the hotel and I am sure some people would find it too much but for me it just added to the charm. The hotel was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed the inclusive breakfast. There are some nice restaurants near by that are less expensive than the ones around St Marks.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th floor in a deluxe room. It had a view of the grand canal and also from a side...

Literally made booking while in airport before flying to Italy. Wanted to try a different part of the city than around the Piazza San Marco.after return from barge trip. Wonderful hotel, furnishings a little over the top, helpful staff. The hotel is near the Rialto bridge, and on the Grand Canal next to a water bus station, so that you don't have to walk to the tourist center of the city if you don't want to. We did walk to the Guggenheim Collection in a leisurely 30 minutes. Half the price of the Monaco (see review), more comfortable, more quiet location. Very good breakfast included. They have a free evening canal trip for guests in a private taxi, but it was cancelled because of rain on our only night there.

Great two days in Venice, an unforgettable experience and this hotel had a lot to do with it.
Although I dislike the extravaganza and the renaissance look...- joked a lot about the room being haunted with my husband - :D, the room was very clean, I had no complaints and I'm really difficult to satisfy in this respect.
We had dinner there and as a gift in that same price we had a canal ride in a very nice yacht where we were served ice-cream and some other desert. It was a very enjoyable experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was blissful. It was booked only a couple of weeks before we travelled but the rates weere what you would expect for Venice. It was cold so you have to wrap up but the smell in the city was much better. The best thing is that you can travel straight from the airport I a Private Water Taxi straight to the door of the hotel. So no lugging your cases through the streets. The rooms were typically Venetian, and the bed was spacious. The only thing I would have liked was a bath but you can't have everything!!!!! It was in a great location for everywhere you could want to be, and it was perfectly prepared for floods!!!!!

This hotel was recommended by a friend so I booked it, having spent hours trawling through all the hotels in Venice and not having any idea about any of them. It is certainly a beautiful place. The staff were friendly but didn't go out of their way to give us any information - e.g. they have a free trip to Morano and a glazing exhibition but we didn't find out about that until the day we were leaving. We were given an upgrade so had a view of the garden with a glimpse of the Grand Canal through the tree. The room was very clean and the bed was massive! There was a minibar fridge which you could use to put your own wine/water into and a free safe, which was a bonus. The cleaning lady was about the friendliest person in the hotel! Breakfast was good and had plenty of choice. Coffee was from a machine which was a disappointment. The hotel is really well situated, right on the Grand Canal with a waterbus stop right outside and turning the other way a street full of shops, restaurants and icecream parlours. Not far from anywhere. Everything about Venice is expensive though so this was a once in a lifetime trip and the expensive food was not very good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the canal or the garden - I'm sure that's what got us the smal...

We stayed one night in May and it was lovely. The room was immaculate in presentation and cleanliness. Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast room had a lot of character, and a good bite to eat! At the front of the hotel was a water bus stop so travel from the cruise port, to the airport, and getting around was easy.
