“Great escape from hotel food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We had two lovely meals here. The staff and owner were pleasant and accommodating and knowledgable about the food. The filet was awesome and one of the best meals I have had this trip! The sangria was also tasty so we came back a second night. The atmosphere is casual with fancier cuisine. Plus the service was fast for Island Time! This is a great alternative to eating at Kura Hulanda.

“Worth the trip to Westpunt for this restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

Dined here for our special last night on Curaçao (for this trip anyhow), and as always at Landhuis Misje had a very enjoyable evening out. It's a good way from the city to Westpunt, about 30 minutes, but roads are well lighted along portions. The restaurant is right on the main road and can't be missed. Once there you'll agree it was worth the effort to get there. Dining is outdoors, either on the veranda of the beautifully restored landhuis or in the garden setting, where a refreshing breeze keeps you cool. The sign on the wall "Will Work if Necessary" perfectly fits the island style and laid-back setting. The ambiance is casual and relaxing, and the food well prepared and a mix of fresh, seasonal local specialties and some classics too (melt in your mouth tender filet mignon). Staff is there to serve but unobtrusive and allow you to relax and enjoy the evening. You've gotta have the ceviche appetizer; it's great as is the rest of the menu. Give Landhuis Misje a try...you will enjoy it and come back again.

“Great night with fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

The food was great, the atmosphere fantastic. Great to sit outside. The best we've eaten in Curacao. If you get to the West of the island, you should definitely go.

“Elegant food, friendly staff, island atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Eight of us found Landhuis Misje to satisfy nearly all tastes. The ceviche was a huge hit and the filet held its own against the best that U.S. steakhouses can offer. The staff was warm and inviting, and the al fresco dining is perfect for those looking for an authentic island experience. The only drawback is that it's a little difficult to find, but we stopped and asked the locals in the area for directions and people were delighted to help out the "wayward tourists."

“Very attentive service and Good food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

We ate twice at this place while staying on Curacao.

It can be semi expensive, but you are getting pretty good food.

Enjoyed the Shrimp Pasta and the Ceviche a lot!

The sangria is pretty nice as well.

Keep in mind you are not eating at a 5 star restaurant and enjoy your meals at the very few places there are in Westpunt.

I would make reservations as it can get pretty busy. See the website for this.
