“Best happy hour......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014 via mobile

Just for starters......this is the place you would like Caribbean style to be. Service is excellent, but not overbearingly American style......amazing value happy hour apps. Perfect business marketing as we will be back for dinner with the family. The Irish lady in the bar/ restaurant ran a tight ship!!!!! Feeding of the birds at 5pm was so much fun. Cocktails were awesome and the setting was Aussie version of an English pub......perfect. Conch/croc fritters were best thing ever, as was the coconut shrimp, spring rolls and cerviche. Calamari needed touch more seasoning but lion fish tacos as per previous reviews were good. Hey, the place had 20 plus people in it at 3pm. Great spot. Views amazing outside. Totally recommend.

“Tukka's has it totally together!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Best Lionfish ceviche I have ever eaten. Perfect pairing of flavors, presentation unparalleled, ingredients absolutely fresh from A-Z, seafood dishes cooked correctly & never overdone, splendid service, management constantly involved & aware. If you visit Grand Cayman's East End, do not miss the gastronomic treats awaiting at this establishment. My husband described the famous Aussie Burger as the best burger he had ever enjoyed. When the waiter placed the mountainous layers of certified Angus beef, crisp bacon, Swiss cheese, fried egg, sliced beet root, arugula lettuce & bun topped with an Australian flag at his place, my husband admired what was before him & exclaimed, "How am I supposed to tackle this"? He eagerly wrestled the burger until there was nothing left on his plate! On Friday nights, the restaurant offers a unique evening. Fish caught by locals are cleaned, you can watch if you like, then they are beautifully displayed for your choosing. We dined on 2 Fridays, & I ordered the Lionfish special. The meal was exquisite both times. Lionfish filets were presented on a sea of fresh vegetables & herbs, with engaging sauces swirled about. My husband raved about his red snapper special. A choice exists for every palate, from appetizers through dessert. Each dish we ordered or picked up for takeout during our 7 week stay in the area was superb. Tukka's uniquely decorated van will pick up & return patrons who stay at several nearby resorts. They also offer free delivery service of takeout orders to these same establishments. No charge exists for these services but a contribution to offset the cost of gasoline is gratefully accepted. The decor is a unique fusion of art & history of the Cayman Islands and Australia. The atmosphere is airy, open, fun and inviting, with a great variety of seating options at the bar, inside, outside on the large terrace or dining on the beach. Every sense is fully engaged & entertained here-sight, touch, smell, taste, hearing & more. As a longtime food and wine enthusiast, a lover of East End, an excellent chef, a retiree who has dined many times in Cayman and Australia, Tukka's is included in my top ten places to dine in the world.

“AWESOME”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Everything about Tukka is pucka!! Ron and his lovely wife are always so welcoming. We had our wedding reception there in March and Ron could not have done any more. It was amazing. We have been for dinner lunch and brunch and just sometimes stop in for a rum and some desert. Every time we get the best service and warm welcome. They even let you bring your dog which in my book is the best thing as our little dog is part of our family so we like for him to get involved. I highly recommend this to locals and visitors alike - the setting is stunning and great sea breezes and don't forget to feed the Frigate birds! Ask Ron about his special rum collection too!

“Wonderful Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

My boyfriend & I ate here on a trip to Grand Cayman almost 2 years ago and still talk about this place. We stayed on the East Side of the island which is definitely a lot less developed than 7 mile beach, which in my opinion made it much more enjoyable! We ate here twice for dinner during our weeklong stay. The view is incredible, prices were reasonable, and dinner & dessert were delicious. Definitely worth it to make it out to the restaurant if you can!
