“Very nice boutique hotel with great hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2011

I believe this property has 8 guest rooms and has the feel of a home,in the best sense.
The property is situated on lovely grounds with a large pool ,outside bar and hot tub.
We had a delightful overnight here.
They informed me that if 6 couples reserved the hotel they would decline any other reservations and turn it into a private retreat for the guests.
The food was very good and they are close to all outdoor activities.
This is a fun place especially for a group of friends

Antucura was our first stop in an 8 day whistle stop wine tour of Mendoza in April of 2011. Everything about the property and service was impeccable. The food, the wine (winemaker Michel Rolland), the service, the view; simply everything. The staff was very attentive; no desire was left unanticipated and no need went unmet. I noticed in another review that someone came to Antucura due to a windstorm negatively affecting power and water pressure at another nearby establishment. (somewhat typical of this part of the world at certain times of the year) There was also a wind storm our second night , however, their generator kicked on and lit the house and kept the necessities up and running until power was restored. This incident actually ended up adding value to our overall experience in a "you had to be there" way; dinner by LOADS of candlelight, surprisingly effective communication amongst the guests using several broken languages, and an impromptu display of vocal talent; suffice it to say it was one of those little travel nuggets we will always remember and treasure. I recommend Casa Antucura to anyone that is heading to Mendoza looking for a special experience.

We decided to go to the wine chateau, without making a reservation, We called them , and although, they were not expecting us, they open the house and since then everything was perfect.
The house, the bed!!!!!! , the food, the amenities, wine, the service, they were only for us...
It´s the perfect place to go with your couple if u are looking for relax, glamour, and service, It is really unique! Don´t miss it!

Room Tip: the corner suites are really nice

I only have unreserved praise for Casa Antucura! The place is absolutely beatutiful and we really didn't want to leave. Stayed only 2 nights, but would loved to have stayed longer. The hotel is set overlooking a lovely garden which overlooks vin yards and the Andes. It is so picturesque and peaceful and the perfect recipie for relaxation. The hotel itself is beutiful and comprises of only 8 bedrooms. There is a library of 8,000 different books which are interesting to mooch through. The food is outstanding as is the wine! We did a wine tour of the Uca Valley which was great and had lunch at a winery which was lovely. Pablo is absolutely brilliant and we felt very looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. The trasfer from Mendoza airport is about 1.5 hours so it is a way to come but it was absolutely worth it to just soak up the views and chill out on the patio and enjoy great food and wine.

We stayed here for 3 nights and wished we didn't have to leave! The hotel management and team are friendly, nothing is too much trouble and on hand to make your stay comfortable without being intrusive. The food is wonderful and I recommend you try as many of the wines as possible. Our favourite was Barrandica. We breakfasted on the terrace with stunning views of the Andes. If you are active and feel the need to burn off the calories then there is access to walk around the winery or there are bikes for use to cycle around the winery or to other wineries in the valley. Our room was quiet and the beds so comfortable, but I often chose to relax on one of the sun loungers so I could make the most of the views. If you want to stay on a winery I would highly recommend that you do not look any further than Casa Antucura.

We spent two nights at this tranquil, secluded property and found it nothing short of wonderful in every dimension - elegant without being overly formal, friendly, thoughtful and helpful staff who managed to be always available but never intrusive, a room with a view of the Andes that was luxurious and comfortable, and food that compared favourably with any of the better restaurants of Buenos Aires. Indeed, the best steak I had in Argentina in terms of seasoning and preparation was at Casa Antucura, nicely paired with a bottle of Calvulcura from the boutique winery where Casa Antucura is situated. The manager, Pablo Barbieri, was extremely helpful and friendly, full of suggestions for outings to other wineries and happy to make the arrangements. After the bustle of Buenos Aires, this is a place to relax, to sample great wines of Mendoza, to feel pampered and mellow. This was a highly memorable visit we would recommend eagerly.

What a fantastic place to spend a few days to unwind! Everything was perfect. The room, the staff, the food, the grounds.... it was sublime. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, where you can do everything at you own pace, this is it. We found the staff extremely helpful in setting up winery tours, or recommending places to hike and explore. After three nights, we had only one regret: that it was time to leave.
