What a pleasant place to stay. Highly recommend for anyone who likes to be off the beaten path, but close to Oxford and M40. I spent 2 nights at Common Leys Farm in early June. My suite had a kitchen, bathroom and living room/bedroom combination. It was clean and comfortable. Very nice linens. Doug and Allie are hospitable hosts. The main house is more than 500 years old and is beautifully decorated with interesting artifacts. This is a working farm with sheep, pigs, chickens and alpacas and ostriches. There are picnic tables available for guests. The breakfast offered was excellent. Homemade jams and jellies. Evening meals and Sunday lunch are available on certain days. Reservations are suggested. The owners use and sell their own fruit, veggies and meats. Allie is a very good cook/chef. This B&B is a real treat and I thank Doug and Allie and staff very much for making my stay here memorable. Be prepared to hear the roosters crowing early! I tuned them out the 2nd morning. Do take time to wander around and enjoy this attractive part of South England.
