“Excellent dinner address”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Excellent food (inluding veggie), good location, and everything a good pub should be. We'll never forget the perfect lamb roast and the pie with nuts. Wonderful!

“Great pub food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Busy wee place...should think you would always be better to book. Food was fantastic...I am coeliac and they were confident in what I could have and what could be tweaked to make it work for me. Service was a bit slow..but that is not always a bad thing. Portions big. Would definitely recommend.

“Really enjoyed our meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We popped in for a drink, then went again the following night as loved the garden. Sat inside for the meal, and we all enjoyed our food - a lot! The real anchovies on the pizza were amazing - don't often see them so fresh. Very tasty indeed, and huge portions. We all have different dishes and no complaints at all. Thank you. Will definitely come again.

“Very ordinary”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

Given all the positive reviews, we went here for lunch on Bank Holiday Sunday.
Very limited menu - two roasts and fish bake in a cheese sauce. So I decided to have 2 starters (all of which were fish based). One of them was sold out. So roast it was.

Yorkshire puds - I think they were pre-cooked and reheated - very dusty. Roast potatoes - suspect they were fried rather than roasted for a long time. Just not very good.

Service was nice, and we sat in the new summer house with a fab view over the hills....but with a lot of dog portraits on the wall......hmm. If you're not doggy then it's not very appetising.

Loos - a bit primitive.

Really don't get the fuss at all.
