“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

My husband and I took my daughter and her fiance and my mother here for lunch today , the place was spotless and the staff were very attentive , the food was not only presented well but was cooked to perfection , the side salad garnish on our dishes was superb along with the homemade chunky chips , and the desserts , well ! just gorgeous. My mother who is in her 80s ordered the home made chicken and mushroom soup which was so hearty for her that she could not eat the tuna sandwiches that she also ordered , so the lovely , pleasant waitress wrapped them up for her to take home and eat at teatime . We go out for lunch often and now that we have found this place it is definitely going to become a regular haunt .

We had a great stay at The Plough. Katrina could not have been more helpful and friendly. Holly was there to greet us when we arrived and she was just lovely. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food was brilliant. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Thanks for making us feel so welcome Katrina and Holly.

Called in to the plough on sunday the 30th Sept 2012, this is the first time that we had visited the pub and maybe the last, Walked in to be ignored by the bar staff, no smile nothing at that piont we nearly walked out, anyway ordered two roast beef dinners which arrived very quick, only to find that the portions were very small, eg 1 half of a boiled potatoe each 1 piece of cauliflower, three little stick of carrot, and the beef was that thin if you picked it up you could see through it.
come on a little village pub like this can do a lot better
