“This place is a hidden jewel. Thanks for a great experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

I felt compelled to write a review for this place because of my fantastic experience there. I booked for a discount voucher overnight stay here for 4 of us.

When we arrived the place was clean, spacious and ambient. Staff were friendly and happy to help. We were shown to our ensuite rooms. The en-suites had underfloor heating in the bathroom a lovely touch. Rooms are very clean and must have been recently refurbished ours had a super king size bed too :))

After touring Settle and Ingleton and not finding anywhere decent to eat we booked a table in the restaurant and boy are we glad we did! We drank in the relaxing bar area and then was shown to our table in the restaurant. We all had a 3 course meal and I can honestly say the food was absolutely stunning!! If you stay at the Craven Arms, then please eat at the restaurant!! The service was impeccable and the staff couldn't do enough. The food we ate was also sourced from their family run farm too. Also good to note: the alcoholic beverages were not over priced which shocked me as usually you end up paying over the odds in restaurants for drinks. After finishing our meals we then went back to the bar for coffee. Coffee here is great, I'm a coffee drinker and we also got a small pot of fudge with our hot drinks. Again just a lovely finishing touch.
Breakfast the next morning was just as good. Fab fry up, great coffee and again fantastic service.
We were sad to go, and will be going back again soon!
It's a hidden jewel is this place. Thank You guys for a great experience. We score 11/10 !!!

We stayed midweek for one night using Groupon bed and breakfast deal. We weren't disappointed. The accommodation was clean ,comfortable and inviting. The heated bathroom floor was a nice touch. The staff were welcoming. Full English breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We ate in the restaurant.Quality food at a very reasonable price. Would happily stay again at regular rates.

Stayed Sunday night, through a groupon offer. Our 2nd visit, and it certainly won't be our last even if paying full price. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spotless and very nice. Had a delicious meal Sunday night, and breakfast was gorgeous, their own bacon and sausage from the farm. Only complaint is that we can't buy the bacon!!!!

Looking forward to another visit.

Room Tip: rooms 7 and 8 quieter with the road, but its not a major busy road, so didn't bother us.

I stayed for 2 nights at the Craven Arms with 3 friends and was made to feel very welcome by the proprietors and staff, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was nicely furnished with a very comfy bed! Food is way better than your normal pub grub but still very reasonably priced - including the great English breakfast.

Looking forward to headed up to the Dales again and will definitely stop @ the Craven Arms

Stayed here for one night on the 4th October 12 via a Groupon offer.

Debbie our host was very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom very clean & comfortable. Had a meal in the evening which was superb, all local fresh produce. Breakfast was the best we ever had, thumbs up to the chefs! Will definitely return, won`t mind paying full price for such a lovely stay. Well done to all.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 which was on the main road. However, this did not bother us at all.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

We stayed at The Craven at the beginning of September for two nights prior to doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and have no complaints. The room was comfortable, the food delicious particularly the black pudding dishes, and the staff warm and friendly. Three out of the six of us were doing the walk and had breakfast at an early hour which was no problem to the staff and the homemade porridge was extremely well received. The service throughout our stay was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. We would all have no hesitation in recommending The Craven Arms and would hope to return.
