A hospitable English pub with a very good standard of interesting pub grub and great beer.
Firstly the beer. The Adnam's was excellent but I came across a new beer for me Grain's Oak and this was truly superb - certainly the best beer I have ever had in Norfolk.
Secondly the food. I had Pheasant hotpot on the Friday which was very good. On Saturday, after a long day out bird-watching it was white-bait starter - absolutely first class and the Game Pudding which was superb. I had this with chips and peas vbut, in retrospect, the potatoes and veg may ahve been a better combination with this. It seems that they have local game on the menu most nights and the chef certainly knows how to get the best out of it.
