My family booked at La Luz for an overnight stay September of last year. I've heard about La Luz before and I've tried booking during the summer but it's always fully booked. My sister from Finland came home for a visit and wanted to go to a beach so finally, we get to go to La Luz. It was a long ride going there and we even had to go thru steep rough roads and somewhat a flood dike which we thought was already a dead end. Good thing there were locals who guided us which direction to take. The resort should update the directions posted in their site because there was a more shorter and safer way thru Lipa. That was the route we took when we went home.
We stayed in one of the premier lofts of the resort. It was spacious and clean. Perfect for the family since there were 11 of us. The accommodation included meals throughout the day including snacks. The food was surprisingly good, buffet-style. The staff were also welcoming and accommodating.
The beach doesn't have fine white sand but pebbles. You need aqua shoes specially swimming in the beach. Be careful though, the beach has a slope. It may seem shallow at first, but take a few steps then it suddenly becomes deep.
The cabanas are perfect just to laze around or get a massage. You can sit there and enjoy the view and the breeze. At night, it's perfect place to drink beer and just talk the night away with your family and friends.
I would go back to La Luz :)
