“Even when out of season peace can be found !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

Visited out of season and was able to find inner peace not just commercial peace. An enjoyable visit for the enlightened as well as those of us who are just respectful of everything. Very humbling enjoyable visit.

“Easter Week Cross Walk to Walsingham, England”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

Walsingham, England, in Norfolk, along the east coast is the home to a shrine dating back to the Middle Ages. It's unusual, in that it is maintained by both the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church. Other Christian religions also have a presence in the village. The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is the conclusion of an annual Easter week cross walk. Students and others start from seven different points in England, with each group carrying a large cross to Walsingham, and ending the walk on Good Friday. When we lived in England, we were lucky enough to help the organizers plan the lodging and a meal in our area. They stayed in our village center; I provided bowls for breakfast cereal and then we went quickly to the RAF/USAF base to prepare snacks. My son and his friends trailed them as they walked out of the village and my husband helped carry the cross to the base. Although, the cross was heavy and the fields were muddy, he enjoyed the experience immensely. Go and see England, in this unexpected way!

“Peaceful...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

A truly peaceful place, perfect for reflection. The abbey ruins over the road , although an entrance fee is charged, provides plenty of open space and a long walk. After your walk, back over the road to the Norton Cafe Bar for tea and homemade cake.

Sunday at its best.

“Peace and tranquility”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

A very beautiful place to visit. Pilgrimages are made here and it is very easy to see why. This is a truly tranquil place with a garden. There are leaflets to enable you to identify all the features as well as leaflets produced for a child to enjoy a visit.

“Peace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

Walsingham abbey has a snowdrop walk, this year started 1st February. Very Spectacular thousands of snowdrops and a well laid out walk in the old abbey grounds. Walsinham is a peaceful place unchanged for many years. Pilgrims and peace prevail. Lots of tea shops but no bank machine.
